Beauty Avatar’s Blogger Appreciation gift came in one of my favorite colors – peach. Such a wise choice as it’s one of the colors that suit any complexion and so would look good on all the bloggers who received it. Though to doubly assure that, they tossed in a lovely peachy skin of their own.

You know who I don’t see enough of on the fashion blogs? Dollyrock. I don’t know why. Longetivy? Is it one of those places that we all know is there and assume everyone else knows is there so she doesn’t need any blog love?
I think it’s an uncanny nack she has for making either simple constructions lovely and unique, as well as producing very creative looks that are unique to her shop. No, this is more Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. Lektra, one of the new releases at Modern Gypsy, is a bright bold brilliant lemony dress with a fabulously made short jacket that goes with it. Also included in the set are the amber earrings and belt. There are several color options available, but when I saw this screaming yellow, I jumped.
Well, actually, I am just wearing Elate’s dress, but what the hey. Now, I know this dress has been blogged before. I have seen it at least three times, but…you know, I am not so vain that I think every single person who reads fashion blogs is one of my readers. I am equally certain the other bloggers would never assume they are universally read either. Even the vanity of fashionistas has limits. So if you are someone seeing this for the third time, that’s the downside of dresses as fun as this one.

There is this really terrible movie, but it has one really memorable scene in it (one of the only that isn’t gratuitous sex), the movie is called Wild Orchid. In it, a female and a male are having this raucous affair – and the male is an old friend of the female’s boss – who is also a lady. Ok, got the set up?

This single mother living in the woods had two daughers whom she gave the idiosyncratic and slightly lunatic names Snow White & Rose Red. The two sisters got on well and did everything together.
What is the price of whimsy? Well, starting tomorrow for the holidays, it’s 1 Linden @ Nix Sands’ wonderfully eccentric clothing store Pixie Pumps, also called XCentricity and XNT. So, when I need to find the store, I look up Nix Sands’ profile just because the name confuses me. The D’Fly Ice Queen are going on sale for just 1 L – and they are worth a 1000 times that in sheer fun and delight.
Okay, so it’s leopard, not panther, but I can’t help it that that song pops into my head when I wear this skirt. Not that I complain, that song takes me to a happy place. Which is why I felt like wearing this happy, joyful and exuberant skirt from Thimbles – a store that always makes me smile and seems to exude such joie d’vivre that I am sure Thimbles designer Apatia Hammerer is Mary Poppin’s great-granddaughter.
