Once Upon a Time, Cajsa TP’d me into a store. It was fully of elegant, delicious ballgown-goodness. There were some fastastic dollarbies (piles of gowns from older releases for about 5L) and a neat viewer that rotated THROUGH was was in the freebie boxes so you could SEE them. I thought this was a great touch – how often do you get home with a hideous freebie? This way, you only pick up the one you want.

I stopped at Bliss Couture last weekend and found this gorgeous gown that I have been too busy to have occasion to wear this week. This week has been one of those too-busy-to-breathe weeks and has left me no time for dancing. Oh well, there’s always the weekend and now I am ready.
Feeling a bit fey last night, I decided to take the Cambridge Cuffed shirt from Armidi and see if I could give it a “quaintly unconventional” look. After all, what could be more conventional than a plain button-down shirt? A fun challenge, then, to give it an unconventional twist. Browsing my inventory, I tried a few skirts, but the instant I put on Nell from LBD, the search was over.
Miffy of Zenith and I have been friends since my first month in Second Life and have spent many hours sitting on a pig talking about this that and the other thing. I remember watching her make her first clothes and marveling at her sureness and speed in moving those prims around. She often sends me her newest creation and every once in a while I will blog one that is less neko that most of her clothes. Now is when I admit that she once asked me why I dressed like an old lady. Such is the difference between 20 and 33. However, we are both a year older now and that year makes a bigger difference for her…which really shows in the increasing feminity and maturity of her designs. This last dress she did is just stunning and for the first time, I am doing a blog post of an outfit in all its colors: silver, gold, pink, blue and black.
So, I am sad that Linden Labs bought OnRez and will be closing it down. I don’t like the other site and probably won’t use it. However, the news did send me rushing to OnRez to shop and there I found this lovely jacket from Y.M.X. Pink and grey go together so well and this lovely tweed is just adorable. I wanted to wear something pink to show off this new skin – a limited edition offering from Bebae. It’s a Valentine’s Day makeup addition to the Bebae Belina line – and comes with a pink or a red lipstick.

It all started with a blogpost on Freestyle about a free snowboard! I was bored, had no one to hang out with and though, Hey – I’ll go get that snowboard. That’d be a hoot.
Except I couldn’t FIND it. I round RAY SKIN just fine, and I found a lot of cute freebie clothes (worn) but no snow board. Now, as will happen when there is a post from Freestyle, it was kind a crackalackin busy with freebie hunters and folks checking out a store new to them. So it was lagarrific and hard to get around. Michelle Obama has excited the fashion world this past year and has often been compared to another first lady, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, because, like Jackie, she is a fashion trailblazer. With hypercritical attention of the press, most First Ladies opt for well-known established designers and safe colors and designs. Michelle Obama’s choices on Inauguration Day signaled in two ways that she is not going the safe route. First, she chose relatively unknown designers, not opting for the security of an old design house. Secondly, although the silhouettes were classic and certainly safe, the fabrics and colors were bold and adventurous. My choices for this outfit offer an homage to the brilliant color coordination and experimentation she offered for the historic event.
LeLutka Clipping Dress
I love newspapers and so why not show that love with a newspaper dress? LeLutka, more recently Cachet, entered the sorority of newpaper honoring creators with this lovely little dress that is dressed up a bit with a lovely net ruffle at the back.
Last night I started the CSR Stamp Rally. It’s a good thing there’s plenty of time to get cards stamped because the first place I teleported to was Happy Mood and after getting my cards stamped, I stopped to look if there were anything new. But that was not really why I stopped, i stopped to play on their marvelous posing tree. Oh yes, I had to sit on every pose and loll about. And that was as far as I got on the stamp rally last night.
