Tuli Scrumptious

Tuli group gifts are always truly scruptious and this one was particularly so. The Shy makeup of the new Elizabeth skin in all skin tones, I fell in love with the soft blush of the cheeks and the dusting of freckle. I would have dressed in something frilly and femme, but a dear friend had returned to SL after several months hiatus, so we went exploring – and that requires sensible clothing. Sensible, but fun clothing. Continue reading

Fleur Perfection

Creamy Cooljoke just wrote about this lovely group gift from Le Petite Fleur yesterday and I had to have it – in part because I used to this dress in RL or one substantially similar. Seeing it made me nostalgic and I rushed to get the dress which took all of two seconds since it was a group gift. It was chilly last night, though, so I added a shrug from Stitch by Stitch to cover the bare shoulders and stay a bit warmer. Continue reading

Holy Pink Leopards, Batman, It's Part III

There is a second workroom at the Photo Studio – on the ocean floor.  Down there we have two photospheres set up and that’s where we have all sort of silliness laying around to dress up photos. From moons, to rainbows to shamrocks to raining rose petals on wedding cakes, we have a garden of strangeness on the ocean floor. You can see some of the things to play with behind me in this photo in which I am wearing pink leopard skin. Now what could get me to wear pink leopard skin?   Continue reading

Green is my favorite color

Green is my favorite color – always has been. Like brown and blue, it’s one of the ubiquitous colors of nature – those colors we humans see the most of. Blue skies, brown earth and green grass and trees – the colors of when the world is right and everything is in its place. Green is the color of plenty – of coming harvests, of ample rainfall – in essence, the color of survival. With all of nature bending toward loving green, how can I argue? Continue reading

Curio-usly Mismatched

A short post while I work away on my blog project that I hope to finish tonight – I am halfway there. It takes some running around in-world, so I dressed for urban trekking in this fun jacket from LBD. The colors demanded an equally vibrant makeup, so I wore Curio’s Mismatch. There is a close up after the cut. Continue reading

Not Trying to Be Lazy

So, I am super busy on a project for the blog – hoping to finish it up tonight or early tomorrow. I would tell you what it is, but then what fun is that?  Instead, here’s a quick take shot on the wonderful pose dolly at Kari – a new store with clothing and two of the most fun poses props I have seen in a while. Taking Lingerie Public, Part Two

One of my frustrations with Second Life® is that despite having utterly gorgeous lingerie we seldom get to wear it. Even when the layer is free, we often cannot wear our lingerie because straps will show or the thong will rise higher than our pants layer. Yes, we can wear it for our sweethearts, but in that case, how long does it really stay on? Last week I shared one strategy for taking our lingerie public. I decided I would make a continuing series on this topic, examples of lingerie I dragged out of the closet to give them some air.

Today I am using the most common, tried and true technique, wearing a lovely corset as a top. This stunning corset is from Simone Stern’s Style Starts Here – the Ruched Satin Corset with Gemmed Trim. This one is black but it comes in several other colors as well. The jeweled trim on the back of the corset is stunningly beautiful and such a surprise on lingerie.

Meanwhile Back at the Ranch…

While Gidge is off vacationing at the Bates Hotel, I thought I would laze about in this cute little outfit featuring a great new shirt from Ce Cubic Effect and an old skirt from our mutual friend Miffyhoi Rosca. This is the first skirt Miffy made, and she made it in red, green and brown plaids. Being an autumn-loving person, I immediately fell in love with all three. When I put on my new shirt last night, I immediately knew Miffy’s skirt would be a perfect option. Continue reading

Poetic License

I found this fun little poem by Brooke Freeman on PoemHunter. It’s not one you would find in Tiger’s Bookstore for Rare Books, but I like it anyway. This is just a taste, to read the entire poem, go here.

I Know Fashion

I know fashion
Models posing, critics complaining
Celebs shopping, paparazzi stalking
I know fashion.

One of the bonuses of blogging about fashion is that I occasionally am offered a new outfit to review. AvaGardner Kung let me choose a couple outfits from Kungler’s to review, including this outfit called New College. It includes the brown tank, cream print top on the jacket layer, glitch pants, a prim skirt and a prim scarf. I am not wearing the scarf because I wanted to wear this Bishwear hair that would have hidden most of it anyway. Since the outfit is named New College, I decided to head to a nearby bookstore.

Sketching at the Moulin Rouge

When I saw this dress, the Designer Sketch at Haute Style & Co, not only did I know it would end up in my inventory, I knew just where I wanted to photograph it. Such a whimsical dress needed to be shot in the heart of Parisian joie de vive, the Moulin Rouge. Inspired by a Dior runway gown, this outfit delivers beauty and whimsy in one big package, complete with a hat and shoes.  Continue reading
