Sometimes the best way to find the cutest top or whathaveyou is seeing it on someone else. While stopping at Hotel Dare to pick up a costume I will be posting later today I ran into fellow fashionista and It’s Only Fashion reader, Annabella Donner, who was wearing an adorable top. Really adorable, so I asked her where she got it and she sent me to Samara Designs and now I am wearing it in this photo.

Laynie Link had a tremendous sale a few weeks ago, where she got rid of a lot of her older fashions to make room for new pieces. I took advantage and had to expand all of my closets because of it, I tell you. This beautiful fall colored set – Hibiscus Dreams – is separates so you can pick up the skirt or shirt or both. When I first took this dress from Digit Darkes out of the box, it made me think of stars twinkling among the scudding clouds ona moonlit night. The sky is seldom black when the moon and clouds are out, clear nights give you black skies, but those cloudy nights the sky can be the color of pewter. So, I designed to shoot this dress in the clouds – which is the material Digit must have used to spin this dress – it floats like a cloud.
Not really. I was busy yesterday building a concert stage for a live concert by Maht and his friend Ethan later this month and wanted to check out the spotlight placement so I hopped on the stool and took a few snaps. As you can see the spotlight falls behind, not in front of the face, so folks at the concert will have a clear view and can snap photos without any trouble. However, if I were a rock star, I would be perfectly at home on the stage with always perfect Adam n Eve leather pants and this adorable top from CHI. Continue reading
I am sincerely appreciative of the many freebies and group gifts showered on Second Life’s residents by the clothing designers and creators. Some however, do strive to create group gifts that are in a different class and in that group, Sissy Pessoa is the Gold Medalist. From Grandma’s Closet to Snake Outfits to this lovely new gift this month that includes a chair and two cigarettes in holders for all you smoking AV’s out there. Me, I quit smoking July 8th, so when i took a puff my eyes closed. The next snap would have been me sneezing. : )

Looking for a fun Urban Decay sort of spot to shoot, Cajsa and I hearkened back to our past and went to the newly remodeled Vicious Wasteland. With ability to build and run scripts, this is a great spot for shooting photos or people – depending on your preference.

Another great find from the Hair Fair was this extravagantly rich Wild Orchid updo from Exile complete with assorted differently colored wild orchids in the packl. It’s the perfect hair for when you really want to dress up and wear something as rich and exciting as this dress.
When you go to a place called the Surrealist Dance Hall, you need to expect oddities. And that there were including a shadow that followed me everywhere, but looked like a man. I had originally gone there when everything was black and white and immediately decided to wear this black and white dress that reminds me of Joan Miró, but when I returned, the place was absolute vibrating with color.
