Reflections in the Starlight

When I first took this dress from Digit Darkes out of the box, it made me think of stars twinkling among the scudding clouds ona moonlit night. The sky is seldom black when the moon and clouds are out, clear nights give you black skies, but those cloudy nights the sky can be the color of pewter. So, I designed to shoot this dress in the clouds – which is the material Digit must have used to spin this dress – it floats like a cloud.

The skirt prim seamlessly blends into the system pieces and offers flashes of thigh and leg as you move – making this a teasingly sexy dress for parties and dances. The fluid movement of this dress would make it a perfect dress for dancing.

The low slung back is another sexy touch – particularly with the added pieces of trim that follow the curve of the dress and draw eyes to the shape of your back.

The bodice is also embellished with that same black trim where two pieces come together to make straps, leaving a diamond keyhole on each side. Great design that really brings cohesion to the embellishment on the front and back.  You can see here how well the Paper Couture Black Pearl set works with this dress – bold, modern and classic at once.

Pewter shoes in the Seduction line from Adam n Eve were perfect – matching the pewter tones of the dress and matching the dress in responding to light.

I liked it so much – I was inspired to play around a bit in photoshop and make a little flood. Perhaps I shoudl say a BIG flood since this was shot 200 meters in the air.

I wore the Chai Ginger skin with Mulberry makeup. This skin loves moonlight.

This dress is a winner, I guess. Counting me, that’s 4 people I’ve seen writing or taking photos about it. (You, me, Gidge, and one other I can’t remember now.) Digit’s gonna be coining the lindens off this design.
