Quick Look – SWA's Perfect Denim Skirt

posted by Gidge Uriza

When I got a “perfect fit” denim skirt dropped on me the other day, I was a bit skeptical. But when I drug it out, saw the fun purple denim AND the fact that when I put it on – the center panel prim was really simple to adjust to make look right on MY Shape……I was like “Okay, this might be the PERFECT Fit skirt!” Continue reading

What To Wear To The Drunken Drow?

posted by Gidge Uriza

My friend Delilah Drutmann dropped me a notecard a couple of weeks ago that said SHHH! Surprise party for Jezabel! At the Drunken Drow! Here is the LM!

As they are both my RL friends, and folks I drug into the Metaverse with me, I obviously HAD to attend.  But shortly after I got them out of their newbie attire, those two girls ran off into their own SL and I don’t see them all that much. So I was interested to see what they were about now that we didn’t hang IN WORLD so much.

And you’re having the party WHERE? The Drunken Drow? Continue reading

Defying Gravity

I am wearing a gravity-defying gown designed by Callie Cline. I love the  luxurious fabric and the rich cinnamon color, but I will be the first to admit that it’s a miracle it stays up. Particularly while I am wearing the Chai Double Shot skin, you get one guess as to whether I am wearing the Cleavage or not.

Living Ornamentally

Ah, the luxury that a Second Life provides us. Our avatars are always healthy and whole unless we choose to wear some skin with bruises, add a broken arm prim or sit in a wheelchair. We can even wear avatars with the chest open exposing our broken hearts. However, all these are optional and can be cast off with a quick right click of the mouse.  First life doesn’t give us that option.  If your heart is broken, it takes time and tears to heal. If it’s damaged, it can be replaced, but it takes much more than a mouse click. Now one of our own needs a new heart and everything is in place except the money.  It should instill all of us with a sense of urgency that only $2500 could save her life.   If 1000 people gave 650 lindens to one of the donation boxes in Second Life, a woman, someone whose work we see on the feeds, will get a Real Life Second Life. How cool is that?

Casual Friday – It's A-Bomb

posted by Gidge Uriza

I love it when a designer (especially one I’m not all that familiar with) throws out a new release with ONE color a little cheaper. I think it’s a great alternative to a freebie. We get to check you out and see if we like your work and you still get a payment, albeit token, for your work. I know if I like your work – I won’t hesitate to come back and pick up the color I love. Hearts & Flowers

Another day of cuteness with adorable embroidery from Meu! and Stitch by Stitch.  The top is from Meu! on Osaka sim. It’s the store called Meu! & Ska, a joint store with fun, playful shirts. I could not resist the lovely embroidery in this top. I decided to wear the Stitch by Stitch embroider shrug because I am not afraid of too much of a good thing. Adding a simple pencil skirt kept me from going over the top.

Cute Alert

Okay, sometimes clothes are just too darn cute. You put them on and say “Aww!” and then you run around upping the cuteness quotient by choosing a cute hair style and cute shoes and cute makeup. Of course, if you mention Schroedinger’s Cat people might not think you know what you are talking about, but smart people will know better. One of the things I really like about today’s television shows is the prevalence of cute and smart people – like Abby on NCIS and Charlie Eppes and Amita Ramanujan in Numbers. I just love seeing smart people who are cute. Now, what does this have to do with the Aqua Plaid dress from Dani’s Fine Fashions. Well, it’s cute. It’s really cute. It’s not black, so Abby would not wear it….but it’s a great bargain, so it’s a smart purchase. Which would make you both cute AND smart.

Stomping Around Dystopia

posted by Gidge Uriza

When stumbling through piles of human carcasses of a Dystopia it’s important to wear good shoes.  And a shirt that displays a lot of attitude. Luckily I had both. 🙂

After I got done watching human souls be devoured and repeatedly smashed between rocks between demon beasts, I decided to head home to hang out.  Continue reading
