Stores like Honey Kitty and DP YumYum specialize in cute. In fact, I believe they have installed security systems in their stores that prevent anything from rezzing that is not cute. If your hair stays grey in the store, you know it’s not cute. If you aren’t sure about an outfit, test it and tp in and see if it rezzes. If it does, it’s cute. But cute is a continuum. Is it as cute as a baby shark with a funny nosel or is it as cute as a baby seal? This, I think, is just plain off the chart cute.
I was surprised by a lovely trio of folders from Roslin Petion of Fleur with the stockings, sweater and dress you see here. I almost jumped up and down for joy when I put the dress on because I had a very similar one when I was a kid – a lovely wool jumper that my mother made and that I would have worn forever if puberty and breasts had not intervened.
So, when I got dressed for the MDR masquerade party last night, I chose the tangled skirt, but changed the rest. The big difference was I added Digit Darkes use with anything anywhere anytime Black Tulle Skirt.
Okay, I confess this costume is right at the edge for me. It’s the beautifully made Horror Gore dress by Haunted Zuzu. It’s well named. The dress is viscerally quite horrifyingly bloody. Add the little effect from Little Heaven and the gruesomely lovely skin from MiaSnow and I am thinking I may have quite firmly stepped over the edge.
But I won’t be steering anything after this photo shoot. I had so much fun making this wonderful Bishwear hair swing by going back and forth on the pose pad – next-previous-next-previous- that I made myself dizzy. I have a bias for hair that moves and swings, and this Hair Fair offering called Seductress is well-named. It seduced me into playing like a six-year-old with my pose pad. And the blouse…well I had to shoot it with two different looks, it’s that good a top. Continue reading

So when I received two outfits from Kunglers to review and saw that lovely black and white fabric texture in the Metropolli dress was, I was not surprised to see it reviewed several times over on the feed. It’s just that kind of fabric and that kind of dress. I decided to look at the other outfit the sisters sent me and a little black and white light bulb clicked in my head. Why not toss the two outfits in a bag, shake them up and see what falls out?
Before going as a fairy, I did spend some time considering other options including this wonderful dress from Fancy Fairy. If you have even the slightest yen to dress as a fairy, check this place out. The clothes are delightfully feminine and wisely straddle the fairy/not fairy world. This comes with lovely wings, but they can be left off. Okay, how can you not love a store with the name Pididdle? The green dress with the clever name “Our Lady of the Moss” came from that delightfully wee store. And mossy it is, with a delicious bottom border on the skirt.
