okay, okay, so the print blouse isn’t a Pucci, it sure makes me think of one. While wandering around Nique the other night, I wandered into Rahz and found a rack of great pop print tops including this one. One thing I cannot resist is a pucci-inspired print. No sooner did I ransack the store for more prints then I tp’ed back to the studio to shoot the luscious treasure.
I received this dress in a folder of review items from ChantKare owner/designer Applonia Criss. In the folder she noted the inspiration for her gowns which was such an interesting touch. For example, this dress was inspired by a vase. Chantkare opened in August and as a new store, there’s not a lot of outfits, but every one is something new, different and lovingly made. For me, the rich colors and beautiful textures make this a compelling and wonderful gown.
I suppose since this was not shot at the State Department, Foggy Bottom is a bad name, but it’s what comes to mind. This is actually shot right behind MDR’s studio on our new sim in the Autumn section. In Autumn you can find corn and wheat fields, a wooded forest of fall color or this spooky, scary little bit of mossy, foggy bottomland which I thought a perfect setting for a dress called the Burton dress. From True La La, the Burton dress is suitably macabre for the setting.
The weather is getting colder and wetter and the rainy season has set in for the winter. But that doesn’t mean doom and gloom, particularly is your wet weather gear is as bright and cheery as this Lima trench coat from Armidi. Yes, it’s last season, but who cares when it suits the weather and lightens your mood? And talk about mood lifting, the dress underneath will increase your happiness quotient by at least 10 degrees.

It’s one last post before I go under the knife tomorrow. That’s right……Gidge is having surgery. I’ve been so sick for several weeks and finally they’ve decided that it’s surgery for me. Since I’m not one those people who divides their SL and their RL much – I’m Gidge in both worlds…..I thought I’d tell all my favorite fashionistas what has been going on. So, today I am planning to get all sorts of inventory cleaning done – the inventory cleaning I said I would do this weekend, but….I didn’t. How does that happen that I have these lists of things to do and then the day goes by and I cannot even tell you what I did, but it wasn’t much. Oh, well, I looked good doing not much wearing this tartan from Muism. I love that the buckles are prims you attach because it looks just so much better than being drawn on.

When I saw Thalia Jie on Saturday, she was wearing the cutest hairstyle that I absolutely coveted. However, it was blonde so I didn’t just snatch it off her head and instead went to 0 Style as soon as my pixel feet could carry me. Now the style is named Prissy, but hey, designers can’t be perfect. You and I know there’s nothing the least bit prissy about the wild abandon, swing and movement in this hair. However, when someone creates hair this beuatiful, we can forgive a misleading name.
Okay, so my viewer came back to life today and my clothes rezzed when I signed on. Nope, it was not a hot mess so as promised, this is the outfit I wore to the One Year Anniversary of MDR Photo Studio. Well, no one said it was formal dress.
It’s not the dress’ fault. I planned to wear it – the short version – so it wasn’t too dressy. We had our one year anniversary party and I thought I would dress up a bit with this LaPointe black silk. But real life intervened and I got home with minutes to spare before logging in and had to lay out the dance balls and dance floor and all that…so I told the folder to add items and rushed about. And nothing rezzed. When one prim piece rezzed after the party started it was a peach skirt. hmmmm. Must have done the wrong folder.I put worn in the search term and hmmm, I am not wearing this, but I draw a blank trying to remember the outfit I am wearing.
