Yes, another day and an other Gala skin. This is Emerald with vibrant green shadow and luscious red lips. Thankfully there’s enough yellow to the green to make it not look like Christmas meets Face and to make it a good complement to the dress from ALB Dream Fashion. That dress, after the cut, is made with a wonderful puff of a skirt that is so modern in sensibility in contrast to the somewhat retro fabric pattern.
Another day, another Gala skin from Curio. This one is Gleam, in the Classic skin tone. It’s a fresh, gleaming makeup with colorful lips and a lovely blush – perfect for a colorful summer outfit like ALB Dream Fashion’s Kairo.
With it I am wearing the adorable Naturalist necklace from Swallowtail and a lovely flower in my hair, also from Swallowtail. Again, you can see how the boldness of Swallowtail is powerful enough for the vibrancy of Annalee Balut’s brilliant textures. This dress has three skirt options – all very different. I have all this lovely lingerie, so how do I show it off without prancing around in my knickers? This is a partial answer.
Whether loves going to leave me or not, my shirt looks like it’s about to. You know, there were some wonderful finds at the Lingerie Expo, but some of the most exquisite were from ALB Dream Fashion who presented lovely sets with bold prints and patterns. When I saw the new Crush dresses from Blaze, my first thought was how wonderfully the Zaara belts from Calangute might look with them and was eager to try it out. Can we just say a match made in SLeaven?
Some Second Life designers are real life designers whose creations take a journey from idea, to paper, to fabric to pixels, linking their First and Second Life design business. Carnal, House of Nyla and Petal Meg are a few that pop into my head without doing any research. Another, though, has been added to that list, Poison Candy, located at the Cannery Rezzable. They have irreverent, irrepressible and imaginative designs such as this charming tattoo dress, which is currently sold out in Real Life. Ah, the advantages of Second Life!!!!
No, I don’t think that’s hyperbole. I am not a denim lover. I don’t own jeans in RL, when I need to dress casual, I like a nice cotton duck or serge, not denim. So, falling in love with anything denim is a small miracle. But who could resist this delightfully spunky and sassy denim skirt? The prim connection and fit is perfect without even a wiggle’s worth of adjustment. The colors match, the seams line up and it all adds up to a beautiful and perky little summer skirt.
I love a dress with options, like this red crochet dress from Nyla Cheeky’s House of Nyla. Commonly worn as a long formal dress see next photo), taking of the prims leaves a fiery hot cocktail dress that’s more peek than boo. With the snug, body-hugging pencil skirt, it’s the perfect foil for the infra-hot Tie Me Up stilettos from Stiletto Moody.
You know that song? It’s played in many films, dance competitions, it’s almost ubiquitous…the song that goes Hot! Hot! Hot! Well, that’s the song I heard in my head when I saw this new release, Franch Affair, from Digit Darkes in the color Dijon. Dijon! Not Mustard. A vibrant, bright summer heat wave of a slip dress, French Affair skims your body and curves over your assets to a short, but not vulgarly short, skirt with a miniskirt prim that’s perfectly matched and placed. I shot several photos in all sorts of positions to test the limits of how well that miniskirt prim worked and it passed with flying Dijon!
