with the greatest of ease – particularly when using the Aerial Assault poses from Long Awkward Pose. While visiting Festivale yesterday, I was entranced by Pixel Dust – a store in a big circus tent – complete with trapeze swings. I remembered a dress Miffy from Zenith gave me a month ago or so and thought it might make the perfect aerialist dress.

Festivale
I was eager to see the new Festivale sim. Whether giggling over the names of the Long Awkward Poses or enjoying the witty conversations on plurk with Autumn Hykova and Dove Swanson – I figured their new sim would be made with wit as well as skill…and it is. I was thrilled to find this old pickup behind the LAP store and immediately knew I wanted to take a picture. Happily I was already dressed in something that suited the setting.
Ballgown Therapy
posted by Gidge Uriza
Know what you need sometimes? Sometimes you need your best friend to say “Let’s put on the biggest ballgowns we can find and be girly girls.”
Fortunately, in SL we have Sascha Frangilli to fill that need with some of the most spectacular and versatile ballgowns IN the metaverse.
You see Cajsa and I in the same dress “IMOGEN” in pink and red (for Valentines WHOOT!) and we’re just showing you SOME of layering options that you’ve got with this gown. Want a great big battleship skirt? Want a smooth sleek look? Want a big puffy fur collar? No? All of these pieces and parts are just a few of the options you get for a really reasonable price for such a luscious dress. Continue reading
Bliss
I stopped at Bliss Couture last weekend and found this gorgeous gown that I have been too busy to have occasion to wear this week. This week has been one of those too-busy-to-breathe weeks and has left me no time for dancing. Oh well, there’s always the weekend and now I am ready.
And now for something completely different
Feeling a bit fey last night, I decided to take the Cambridge Cuffed shirt from Armidi and see if I could give it a “quaintly unconventional” look. After all, what could be more conventional than a plain button-down shirt? A fun challenge, then, to give it an unconventional twist. Browsing my inventory, I tried a few skirts, but the instant I put on Nell from LBD, the search was over.
En Vogue
Miffy of Zenith and I have been friends since my first month in Second Life and have spent many hours sitting on a pig talking about this that and the other thing. I remember watching her make her first clothes and marveling at her sureness and speed in moving those prims around. She often sends me her newest creation and every once in a while I will blog one that is less neko that most of her clothes. Now is when I admit that she once asked me why I dressed like an old lady. Such is the difference between 20 and 33. However, we are both a year older now and that year makes a bigger difference for her…which really shows in the increasing feminity and maturity of her designs. This last dress she did is just stunning and for the first time, I am doing a blog post of an outfit in all its colors: silver, gold, pink, blue and black.
Boy the way Glenn Miller played
A comment on my flickr invoked the music of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey when looking at this suit. They seemed the perfect foil for this suit – their songs from a few decades earlier, but the can-do optimism of their music seems reflected in the upbeat design of the dress.
Wishing will make it so
Just keep on wishing and care will go
Dreamers tell us dreams come true
It’s no mistake
And wishes are the dreams we dream
When we’re awake
The curtain of night will part
If you are certain within your heart
So if you wish long enough, wish strong enough
You will come to know
Wishing will make it so

Moonshine
I have to smile at the name of Moonshine Designs as I am a granddaughter of a moonshiner with bootlegging relatives and no, I am not from Hazzard County, though my brother did have a red Dodge Charger Special Edition and was a stock car racer. Wow, putting all that together does sound kind of Hazzard County, doesn’t it? Well, the northwoods of Minnesota are pretty rural, too. I doubt, though, that Shelley Toonie of Moonshine Designs was thinking of that kind of Moonshine. So let me get my head out of the moonshine and show off this Moonshine design – the wonderful embroidered Sheer Flowers.
My Precious
I was wandering around on Saturday, popping into stores in Istanbul and saw this store called My Precious that was filled to the rafters with ballgowns – beautifully made, luscious ballgowns like this one in Champagne, though perhaps butter creme is a more accurate description. It’s not a color that’s often featured and I fell for it.
