Bring Green to Life

Helena Stringer - IOF - Bring Green to Life - 1
In a world set far apart from ours, a land is plagued by something that is sucking all the joy, colour and life out of the various realms.

They people prayed to their gods,  but it seemed after years of of no answer, the people of the land have had enough.

A forest witch was tasked with summoning from the earth, the last remaining seed of life, into a solid form, humanoid form.

Welcome to Sanity Falls

Welcome to Sanity Falls

For fun, I went to check out the newest MadPea production – Sanity Falls, a multi-sim hunt for the ransom to rescue your kidnapped spouse. I only made it to the city limits, distracted by the memes of Second Life plurkerville. I am wearing a great mesh dress from Tukinowaguma. Why didn’t I know Tukinowaguma had mesh? At 150L per dress, that’s a great place to shop for quality mesh clothing – all in standard sizes.

IFW10 – All the Pretty Little Horses

Hybrid Ansar sent me the best gift in Second Life on Friday – a notecard full of places she likes for taking photos that I will be incorporating into my own notecard. When I put on the La Memoire dress from Aleida for International Fashion Week, I wanted shoot it someplace really different and found that at Drill Factory where high in the sky there is an inspired merry-go-round that is the Merry-Go-Round of  Dreams.

It’s an amazing site and I will definitely go back to explore the many hubs and stations of this galactic carnival at Drill Factory.

A Universe in Your Hand

As the Accessory Fair opens on this beautiful Saturday morning, I am thrilled to be featuring the Hera Earrings and Cocktail Ring from Abraxxa Anatine of EarthStones. I remember some several months back that she told me she was going to do something really crazy, that she always wanted to do. Abraxxa is one of those who doesn’t give hints, though, so it was not until she finished the ring that she shared the story of seeing this amazing ring that she fell in love with and lusted for. Like most of us, though, the $26,000 price tag made her jaw drop and made that dream unattainable – until she decided to make it for herself in Second Life®. Luckily for all of us, she has also made matching earrings and not only are these gorgeous, extraordinarily detailed masterpieces available they are not $26,000 or even 26,000 lindens. As you can see, the pieces consist of five constellations of diamonds around a central clusters of gems and  inner suns of citrines and topaz – a veritable cluster of solar systems – an entire universe to adorn yourself.

Off the hook

Sachi Vixen sent me the sexiest little dress. In fact, it was a twofer as it comes with two options for wearing it – as a mini or as a longer, can-can style skirt.  I decided to wear it as the mini so I could wear these MichaMi stockings that have to have been made for that. If not, those Sachi and Milla have some weird psychic thing going on.

Not Gollum

Agnes Finney makes deliciously glam clothing, but I confess that her store name To My Precious makes me think of Gollum. However, is there anything in the world less Gollumish than this gorgeously glam red dress with the thigh-high slit in the pencil skirt and the glorious butterfly sleeves?

Woot! Woot!

PixelDolls Crochet Dress Kit

In plurk yesterday someone asked where folks buy gestures and I snarked that I don’t buy them because I hate them. I have never used the Woot! or Hoo! gestures. In fact, I deleted them as I do most gestures. So of course, friends have had to send me little messages saying Woot! because that’s  how the world works.

Now, about a week ago, I was actually in a position where the Woot! gesture would have been appropriate. You might recall the outfit I wore last week with the black crochet gloves. Folks could not find it, so I im’ed Nephaline Protagonist the creator of PixelDolls and asked if it was still on sale. She said she was going to make it a group gift, but then….the next day I got this off-line IM to email. “Hi sweetie! I tracked down that glove map, and reworked the whole thing a bit- I had quite forgotten what a neat top and stuff that was. I just put some items in my shop that use the maps- I’m sending you copies via Xstreet. Thanks for everything!!! <3”

Woot! She released three (four if you count the white skirt options) versions of the older dress, reworked so they are even better.  So here they are, thanks in part to you readers asking how to find those gloves, which prompted me to ask, prompting her to revisit those old files. And seriously, these dresses are too sexy by half – whether the daring crochet or the slightly more demure lace, with or without the corset. These are clothes for when you are hell bent on seduction and some of the hottest gloves ever.

Bold in Baiastice

I always love a good system skirt like the one with this dress from Baiastice. Sadly, many women avoid them becuase they don’t know how to adjust their shape so they think system skirts give them balloon butts. Well, technically, I guess system skirts do give you balloon butt, but if you shrink your butt before hand, it’s no biggie. I want to mention this because there’s a great tutorial over at What the Fug? If you avoid system skirts because of butt balloonery, head over there right now!!

Peachy-Keen

Beauty Avatar’s Blogger Appreciation gift came in one of my favorite colors – peach. Such a wise choice as it’s one of the colors that suit any complexion and so would look good on all the bloggers who received it. Though to doubly assure that, they tossed in a lovely peachy skin of their own.
