I had one priority during last night’s pajama party/sneak peek at the Hair Expo. Come what may, I was going to find the incredible Kaori hair from Exile and snatch it up. And I did and thanks to that, you see it here in all its wild disarray. I am in love. 

So, the Hair Expo? Laggy of course, but hey, swimming and shopping at the same time must do wonders of aerobic goodness for your pixel heart. Overwhelming – so much hair and only one head. But we all know what it really is. It’s the Fashionista’s Big Rock Candy Mountain!

But that’s not all today, Stiletto Moody has new shoes though she’s only teasing up by letting us see them. They don’t go on sale until 6PM tonight. Still, a girls gotta look. Continue reading →

I am having one of those days (leaving the ATM card in the machine, walking away from the coffee maker with the pot while the coffee pours through the filter, biting into a sandwich at one end while the contents slide safely out the other) so these photos and style notes can stand on their own. Remember me writing about my indecision, my running around from sim to sim, all in the effort to find a costume for MDR’s Midsummer Night’s Dream party?  That was just last Friday – but lo, what should appear in my notices window last evening?

Before going as a fairy, I did spend some time considering other options including this wonderful dress from Fancy Fairy.  If you have even the slightest yen to dress as a fairy, check this place out. The clothes are delightfully feminine and wisely straddle the fairy/not fairy world. This comes with lovely wings, but they can be left off. Taking Lingerie Out of the Closet, Pt. IV

Until Second Life® gives us more clothing layers so we can wear our lingerie under our clothes, we women of SL are kept from experiencing one of RL’s great pleasures in SL – the knowledge that under the paint-spattered overalls, the cook’s apron, the doctor’s scrubs, the power suit our underwear is silky, soft and sexy.  Until then, I guess the best we can do to get a similar joie de lingerie is to drag it out of the closet and wear it so it shows, in this case by pairing a sexy bra with a sheer top.

Directory Trekking – and it's done.

Bliensen and Maitai dropped this lovely necklace on me along with a few other jewelry sets the other day, but with RL driving over SL with a steam roller and my monomaniacal focus on getting through the SLURL Directory as quickly as possible, I have had no time to review anything. But, I do like the set (haven’t had a chance to look at the others yet). They fit well and aren’t too flashy a red (as cherries often are in jewelry.)  I had to dig around in my chest a bit to move the necklace up, but that always happens with my jewelry. I Have Gone Positively Dotty!!!

Conference participants tend to take one of two distinct fashion paths when attending a conference – the hyper-casual or the dressed to kick ass and take names approach. Last night seemed the time for the latter, so I chose a vintage style dress and added a bolero because it was a bit chilly. I truly accentuated the positive in this outfit with the hat, though. I don’t know what to highlight first – the magnificent detailed jacket from Cipher or the incredible black thigh-high boots from Drawmachine. However, this photo certainly highlights the quality of the boots that stay gloriously glitch free even while pulling gum off your shoe. I love these boots – sexily thigh-high, but with a bling-free matte finish that keeps it away from even the slightest hint of skankiness. Continue reading →

Liquid Gold

When I received a review copy of Kungler’s new Floratta, I knew it would be a popular item on the blogs – the lovely gold textures and sassy style certain to appeal to everyone. So, I thought I wouldn’t blog it, but it was irresistible, so I decided to rethink it a bit by mixing it up with a different skirt.  With Kungler’s typical attention to detail, the the gold top is finished with a lovely bronze edge. I thought it would be fun to match it up with a bronize skirt and accessories.
