Wow!

When I saw this outfit at the store I was not nearly so impressed as when I put it on. When I put it on, my initial reaction was limited to a few words like Wow! and Wicked! I am so impressed with the texturing of the clothing. How beautifully the stripes align in the pants, the sleeves and the jacket where, with several pieces in different directions could have, in less skilled hands, been scary.

Oooo Bebae Bebae!

posted by Gidge Uriza

How many review items can one girl wear in a post? Let’s find out!

All of them?! YES!

The new Bebae Valentine release skins are really very glamorous – maybe fancier than this sweater pants combo warranted but I’m having trouble taking them off lately.  Continue reading

Italian Style

The Italian community has fostered lots of good designers and also worked together in many ways with Italian fashion shows and gallery showings of Italian artists and the like.  Last year wandering around a Best of Italian festival I happened on Orage Creations and promptly put it on my list of stores I make an effort to revisit once a month at least.  Her specialty is stunning gowns and exuberant fashion. Now, however, she’s doing some homage to great runway fashion such as this recreation of a Versace gown worn by Charlize Theron to the Venice Film Festival.

There Was Something In The Air That Night…..

posted by Gidge Uriza

Okay okay okay. The dress is FERNANDA – not FERNANDO. Perhaps Fernanda is the one singing? Remembering that fateful night they crossed the Rio Grande? What were Swedes doing in Mexico fighting for Independence? I’m so confused.

Cheongsam for the Chinese New Year

posted by Gidge Uriza

One of my favorite styles, the Cheongsam is one of the many great buys at the big Pixel Dolls L$50 sale. Everything in one room is only fifty lindens and it’s all an amazing steal. I’ve been hard pressed to pick out specific items vs. just buying them all. Continue reading

Ornamental Cleavage

posted by Gidge Uriza

Sometimes I don’t realize how smexy a shirt is. For instance, I bought this one solely to match this skin I picked up and thought, “this’ll be a great contrast.”

Ahem. Well, it’s obviously a beautiful sweater, rich in color great details.

And MAN is it boobariffic. Continue reading

Moonshine

I have to smile at the name of Moonshine Designs as I am a granddaughter of  a moonshiner with bootlegging relatives and no, I am not from Hazzard County, though my brother did have a red Dodge Charger Special Edition and was a stock car racer. Wow, putting all that together does sound kind of Hazzard County, doesn’t it? Well, the northwoods of Minnesota are pretty rural, too.  I doubt, though, that Shelley Toonie of Moonshine Designs was thinking of that kind of Moonshine.  So let me get my head out of the moonshine and show off this Moonshine design – the wonderful embroidered Sheer Flowers.

My Precious

I was wandering around on Saturday, popping into stores in Istanbul and saw this store called My Precious that was filled to the rafters with ballgowns – beautifully made, luscious ballgowns like this one in Champagne, though perhaps butter creme is a more accurate description. It’s not a color that’s often featured and I fell for it.
