I love the Undine Cami from Pixel Dolls though it does present some challenges to mixing and matching as the long trailing bows on the side are on the jacket layer which goes under system skirts. How sillly is that? Jackets should always been on the outside…but that just means finding a non-system skirt with prims that don’t extend too far to the sides. Sure, I could wear the cami with any pair of pants, but I wanted a skirt. Before going and trying every skirt in my inventory, I remembered Cachet’s Cleo – a dress that had a very restrained and tailored skirt..and sure enough, it was exactly what I needed.

lotta lamb
There’s been an explosion of Lamb on the feed lately and in particular this long hair style from Lamb has been ubiquitous. Of course, that always leades to some griping that we all show the same damn thing. First, I think Achariya’s most recent challenge resoundingly trounced that complaint. Secondly, gripers ignore the substantial benefit of having the same hair shot in varied styles in varied degrees of photo quality and manipulation. With that many photos, if there were major flaws, they would be exposed. And lastly, when something comes along that excites this many people and seems to be “everywhere” it’s only because it solves a problem everyone shares. In this case, here we have flowing long hair that comes forward naturally and yet does not plunge into your breasts, appearing below like some appendage of cousin Itt. It’s got something that people have been wanting and so it’s exciting. This should confirm for you that it’s a great product, well worth buying.
Cheongsam for the Chinese New Year

One of my favorite styles, the Cheongsam is one of the many great buys at the big Pixel Dolls L$50 sale. Everything in one room is only fifty lindens and it’s all an amazing steal. I’ve been hard pressed to pick out specific items vs. just buying them all. Continue reading
Trailblazer
Michelle Obama has excited the fashion world this past year and has often been compared to another first lady, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, because, like Jackie, she is a fashion trailblazer. With hypercritical attention of the press, most First Ladies opt for well-known established designers and safe colors and designs. Michelle Obama’s choices on Inauguration Day signaled in two ways that she is not going the safe route. First, she chose relatively unknown designers, not opting for the security of an old design house. Secondly, although the silhouettes were classic and certainly safe, the fabrics and colors were bold and adventurous. My choices for this outfit offer an homage to the brilliant color coordination and experimentation she offered for the historic event.
1 + 1 = 3
So while wandering the shops at Ivy Falls I came upon a shop with a mixed bag of clothes from different stores. Above the door, almost invisible to the casual shopper I saw this ballgown that seemed sort of anachronistic. The sleeves and skirt and all seemed like a historical gown, but the shirt fabric with the elephants was clearly modern. It occurred to me that bringing it into the future with a mini skirt would be kind of fun and be a great example of how mixing and matching can make 1 plus 1 equal 3.
All The Single Ladies!Put Your Hand UP!

Harper’s invite to Frank’s Elite VIP room for New Year’s Eve was just an excuse to change clothes! I grabbed my girls, slipped into this velvety number from Pixel Dolls and we rolled over to rub elbows in the swanky elegance of a normally private club. Continue reading
Dress Me Up – Gidge by Phire Zuhra

Took Me Long Enough to get Elfy – didn’t it? I’m having system issues, give me love.
So, Elfy.
Hmmm. I know some elves. And pixies of various sorts. Now, this condition is possibly only symptomatic of the elvies and pixes I know – but they are all consistently badly dressed. I’m not kidding. I wonder sometimes, if they don’t rock the BIAB clothes out of the role play sims and keep some fantastic costumes that I never get to see while fully into their Elf role play. Continue reading
Purrfectly Delightful
Excuse my while I purr.
When I saw the ad for this jacket on the feed the other day, it was one of those “gotta have it” moments – though I will confess I blanched at the cost. Nonetheless, jackets are generally good investments and this one look lots of work and it shows. Continue reading
Sliding Down the Rainbow
I got a greeting card once that said at times it is essential that the most important decision of your day is choosing which color to slide down the rainbow. This is one of those days and I chose Teal. Continue reading

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. The same old story. But when I got this lovely gift from Pixeldolls I WANTED to be swept away for a romantic night of dancing under the starts. I own enough jewerly from RICX to attend the opera every day for a month and never wear the same piece more than twice….I don’t see too m any people blogging RICX, but I like their stuff. And yes their jewelry has a bling OFF option so no you don’t HAVE to be a blingtard to shop there. They offer a lot of jewels and traditional settings. Continue reading
