There’s all sorts of angelic options at The Arcade, but I did not take the usual route. I did add wings from The Secret Garden (tsg) but instead of rest of their angelic creation, I went the naughty angel route with this deliciously sexy Show Time dress from Blueberry.
This dress is much too short and bootylicious to be standard issue angelwear, but I don’t believe in standard issue clothing. Continue reading →
While doing some practice runs for the big day, the reindeer had a little accident. You can see Donner up in the tree and Blitzen is obviously blitzed, just look at the vacant expression on his face. I am not sure he even knows what happened yet. I stopped by to survey the damage, but no one was seriously hurt. I am sure there is time to repair the sleigh by Christmas. I only hope those packages were empty samples and didn’t have anything fragile in them.
What does one wear to a sleigh accident? Why a nice warm wool dress and a beautiful wool scarf, of course. The dress if from Thalia Heckroth and the scarf is part of a hair plus scarf combo from Rowne for Collabor88. It comes with a HUD to change the scarf textures so there is plenty of choices available. Delta Bluesman Bukka White wrote the Fixin’ To Die Blues and later it was covered by Bob Dylan and by Dave Van Ronk. I thought about it yesterday when Second Life® had another auto-update that resulted in immediate crashes when I tried to take a picture. I thought they are fixing me right out of Second Life – each update and “improvement” making my experience more laggy and frustrating. And yes, I did all the requisite attempts to fix it including a clean install. I ended up installing an older update and crossing my fingers. For whatever reason, though, I cannot save a picture to disk without crashing, even in the older version now. The only way I can take pictures is uploading them directly to Flickr®. Oh well, here they are, raw shots that are not even cropped. The clothes are still gorgeous!
When I was camming around I accidentally cammed in on my face though the street light globe. I thought the effect was freaky and fun.
Yesterday I was feeling country and today it’s all about the big city. Legal Insanity’s Trunk Show is today and trunk shows are such a city phenomenon. This Stefani Slim pants are one of the designs featured at the trunk show and they are fun fashion.
I am in love with this gorgeous gown and capelet from KatatOnik. It comes is all the rich jewel tones that you could need to fill a treasure chest. You will find it at Collabor88. For some reason, the pose and the cool blue tone of the lighting made me think of Melanie Safka’s extraordinarily beautiful song, The Citiest People. Most people probably have not heard of Melanie, or if they have, they only know her biggest song, Brand New Key. However, if you have a chance, spend some time on Spotify or YouTube and discover her many other fabulous songs, like Kansas, Someday I’ll Be a Farmer or Candles in the Rain.
To the citiest people In the whole wide world You’ve been unkind To an un-city girl From the stone walls you grew, so I’m not blaming you But look what the city – Just look how the city Has taken a pretty And made an ugly of you Just look what the city Is doing to you
I have pulled out my Fiat Lux projector that I am selling on Marketplace for 50L for shooting the pics today. This is a combination of two projectors – one white and one tinted. They are mod, so you can change the color of the tint. I changed it to red the other day and have often changed it to gold. You can pretty much tint it any way you please. You can also make your own, using the tutorials you can find under the Tutorials tab up above.
To the citiest people In the citiest town I’m not the one To be putting you down From the stone walls you grew, but I grew there too And I know that the city The dirty old city Can take such a pretty And make an ugly of you Just look what the city Is doing to you
Aren’t these Leith boots from Schadenfreude hot? You can find them at Collabor88 and if I had been smarter, I would have bought the fat pack.
If you have not snapped you holiday pictures yet, you could not do better than heading over to Wishing Well where Incendia Outdoors has created dozens of scenes perfect for holiday pictures. This is a snap in front of the fire, for all you know I could be roasting chestnuts.
You can even take a sleigh ride to tour the scenes before deciding where and what you want to shoot.
