It would be my best friend Gidge you drags me thoroughly and completely out of my comfort zone with her challenge cause she’s wicked like that. Her exact brief was: “OK then, Now I want to see you do ultramodern.  Sleek, metallic….not inhuman…….SUPERHUMAN……” I suppose I could have gone to a costume shop and bought the Silver Surfer, but that would not honor the spirit of these challenges, so I went to the Fashion Oracle, Sasy Scarborough. It took her less than 15 seconds to suggest this very Trilobite Cat Suit and she even knew the price. Never doubt the power of the Oracle.

I originally had a mind to write this entire post a la A Clockwork Orange but figured many of you might poke out your minds eye trying to translate Alex’s lingo. I also thought that I might poke out my own brain trying to DO the translation, so decided to let it go.

I’ve been looking for something to wear with these excellent boots of Miffy’s (disclosure – from my shop Don’t Ask) and while doing the car wash shoot the other night, Cajsa and I wandered into Go Ask Alice and I spied these cargo shorts……and a light went off.  WIth prim pocket attachments for a more authentic worn pocket look I’m in love with these. Another of the radically different and interesting skins my friend Hatchy has made is this Neko skin with hand-drawn fur covering the entire body. The first time she gave me a skin of this design, before she had completed all of it, she forgot to tell me what it was, so I kept waiting for it to finish rezzing.  I thought it would be fun to style an outfit for this skin – but not necessarily to make it Neko.  Indeed, my choice right off the top was the very un-Neko Baiastice. So when I received two outfits from Kunglers to review and saw that lovely black and white fabric texture in the Metropolli dress was, I was not surprised to see it reviewed several times over on the feed. It’s just that kind of fabric and that kind of dress. I decided to look at the other outfit the sisters sent me and a little black and white light bulb clicked in my head.  Why not toss the two outfits in a bag, shake them up and see what falls out?

Throwing a house party last weekend (before my Red White and Blue madness week!) I was perplexed at which thing in my closet to wear. We were just having some friends over to Wang Manor for some dancing and fun, nothing fancy and no THEME and as I rifled through my dresses I remembed I had picked this up at Diversity the day it came out but hadn’t worn it yet!

I knew immediately I wanted to match up purples and gold – and these pansy earrings from Petal Meg were exactly what I was looking for. Pressed from real flowers, all of her jewelry is an elegant little piece of nature, and so unique.

I positively drooled when I saw the PACK of jewelry sent to me by Bliensen + Maitai.  I love fun, unusual pieces and the first pieces I fell in love with were the bottle cap earrings and necklace. Great detail on each and every cap is what really makes these a couple of fun pieces to put in your jewelry box for casual or themed events.  I was hostessing a rock themed event at MDR and knew immediately that no matter how I got dressed for the night, I was going to build the ensemble AROUND this jewelry.

Pink and White Think Alikes

I received the invitation to Boopzee Slade’s rezz day party over the weekend and spent a short amount of time pouting about it, because it looked like I wouldn’t be able to attend due to the time of day. But when I logged in late Monday night to find out that the party was STILL rocking, I was delighted.

With visions of a white frosted cake piped with pink icing flowers in my mind – I went rifling through my closet. My delightful new party dress from the <3 Cupcakes secret sale (got it for ZERO!) was just the ticket for a birtday/rezz day party! I slipped into my shoes and TP’d over to Boopzee’s soiree.
