Do you want to feel like a Star? Part 4 of I ♥ EC Week

If you want to feel like a star you could initiate massive hydrogen fission and combust, burning at temperatures beyond my imagination, but measurable in Kelvins. Or you could run over to Evie’s Closet and pick up the wonderful Love Story gown. Believe me, the second option is much better for your complexion.

Why Not?

I fell in love with this adorable little pinstripe skirt from Humby Designs and could not wait to style it. The folder comes with two lenghs for the dress, including one shorter than this. At first I put on a plain red blouse with red tights and black shoes. It looked nice enough, but it just did not have the pow I wanted to really show off how splendid this skirt really is, so I thought perhaps a different blouse and started trying on other red tops. Now somehow this top made its way into my red folder (perhaps a misfile since Prints are right above Red) and when I put it on, my first thought was Why Not?. So here we are.

Shooting @ Sick

Street Signage at Sick

Sick is an awesome sim for anytime you want to shoot an urban setting at night. With all the signage and the busy night streets, it’s really the perfect backdrop for urban chic – on the noir side. Unfortunately you cannot rez poseballs, but you can use a pose hud.

I saw Sasy wearing this dress the other night at Truth and knew I had to get it – and to wear it with this leather shrug from Cipher. The minute I saw the dress, this shrug came to mind, though I was unsure whether to wear the black or run over to Cipher and buy their red one (it comes in 5 colors) but my budget conscience carried the day and I stayed with the black shrug I already purchased.

Another Visit to Embryo

I went back to Embryo for a quick visit last night after some hair shopping at Exile where I grabbed this gorgeous new style, Rayne. The dress I got awhile back from Damiani and I love the matching stockings that come with it, the lovely floral print cooridating perfectly with the dress.

Argyles and Tweeds, Yum!

I wonder if I come by my love  of argyle and tweeds by way of my ancient ancestory Macbeth or poor Duncan, his murder victim. It’s one of the difficulties of being a descendent of both the murderer and the victim, to whom should I lay claim? Frankly I doubt either one of them had an argyle as lovely as this. I don’t think Lady MacBeth did either for that matter.  After all, IBizarre had not opened yet.

Take My Breath Away

Evangeline Miles makes some of the most beautiful gowns in Second Life® - in fact, she should include an oxygen tank with every dress package because her gowns are always breath-taking. The most stunning, I think, is this one, the Imperial Moon gown - a gown so lovely I have bought it twice.

Watching every motion in my foolish lover’s game
On this endless ocean finally lovers know no shame
Turning and returning to some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion as you turn around and say

Take my breath away
Take my breath away

She's a Rocker

Poor Allison on American Idol. Why did she get trashed for her outfit? It actually had the potential for fabulous and only a few changes would have made it great, but still, it’s a singing competition, not America’s Top Model.  Actually, there were worse outfits on the stage that night and at least Allison’s dress fit her. I thought I might show how that outfit could look great – and used the lovely Saturday dress from Baiastice to show you.

The Way I Feel About You -It Just Can't Be Wrong!

posted by Gidge Uriza

I’m so fortunate that my best friend has exquisite taste and style. What that means is that I never get drug along on shopping trips where I go “Ummm, DO NOT WANT/KTHANXBY.”   Instead of going “Oooooh, Oh DO WANT! DO WANT!”

Both Modern Gypsy and Exile are places like that for me. I wouldn’t have wandered in without Cajsa and now I’m addicted to their goodness.  This short casual dress is called Desertmoon but at first I thought it said “dessert moon” and it put me in mind of  dessert cafes of my 20s. Continue reading
