Conference participants tend to take one of two distinct fashion paths when attending a conference – the hyper-casual or the dressed to kick ass and take names approach. Last night seemed the time for the latter, so I chose a vintage style dress and added a bolero because it was a bit chilly. I truly accentuated the positive in this outfit with the hat, though. Quick Take
Working a big conference this weekend and am hardly online at all – so this is just a quick take.
Lili Marlene
Wearing this perfectly named Marlene hat from Elegance hats, I found myself quietly singing “My Lily of the Lamplight, my own Lili Marlene” and feeling very spy v. spy – especially wearing the very film noir Coque Coat from Illusions. Continue reading
Pididdle Short Take

Serendipity
Don’t you just love serendipity? I not only love it when it happens, I love the sound of the word. It has a joyful, lucky sound to it – which is how I felt while putting away some shopping last night. I confess this SLurl project has been a budget buster as I frequently get sidetracked and end up actually shopping while I test the landmarks. And so it was I had a folder full of shopping to sort and put away and serendipity is how I ended up with this outfit. Continue reading
Curio-usly Mismatched
A short post while I work away on my blog project that I hope to finish tonight – I am halfway there. It takes some running around in-world, so I dressed for urban trekking in this fun jacket from LBD. The colors demanded an equally vibrant makeup, so I wore Curio’s Mismatch. There is a close up after the cut. Continue reading
Taking Lingerie Public, Part Two
One of my frustrations with Second Life® is that despite having utterly gorgeous lingerie we seldom get to wear it. Even when the layer is free, we often cannot wear our lingerie because straps will show or the thong will rise higher than our pants layer. Yes, we can wear it for our sweethearts, but in that case, how long does it really stay on? Last week I shared one strategy for taking our lingerie public. I decided I would make a continuing series on this topic, examples of lingerie I dragged out of the closet to give them some air.
Today I am using the most common, tried and true technique, wearing a lovely corset as a top. This stunning corset is from Simone Stern’s Style Starts Here – the Ruched Satin Corset with Gemmed Trim. This one is black but it comes in several other colors as well. The jeweled trim on the back of the corset is stunningly beautiful and such a surprise on lingerie.
Short Take
I am super busy this afternoon, so will just post the photos of this lovely Beauty Avatar mini and style notes – more after the cut. Continue reading
Puff Goes the Prim Skirt
Yes, another day and an other Gala skin. This is Emerald with vibrant green shadow and luscious red lips. Thankfully there’s enough yellow to the green to make it not look like Christmas meets Face and to make it a good complement to the dress from ALB Dream Fashion. That dress, after the cut, is made with a wonderful puff of a skirt that is so modern in sensibility in contrast to the somewhat retro fabric pattern.
Feeling Naughty in the Moonlight
Eshi Otawara of Chambre du Chocolat is incapable of making a boring dress – and Moonlight is no exception. Moonlight is a delightfully naughty gown, baring a sinuous strip of flesh all the way down the body while curving discreetly to follow the body’s curves and cover everything essential, A deep rich tea, it is highlighted with brighter teal accents along the curve.
