Another of the radically different and interesting skins my friend Hatchy has made is this Neko skin with hand-drawn fur covering the entire body. The first time she gave me a skin of this design, before she had completed all of it, she forgot to tell me what it was, so I kept waiting for it to finish rezzing. But then, it’s always a dark and stormy night in the shopping alley, now isn’t it?
Cajsa and I rested our high heel loving feet for a few in the cafe, enjoying the ambiance, and generally sitting around looking pretty.
My prettiness was courtesy of a big old box of goodies from Layniewear I received several days ago. Sleek,hip summer fashions and a fun hairstyle too. 
One of my FAVORITE features of the release of this button down shirt from Layniewear is the collar option feature. Attach it to your spine or CHEST – which allows you to choose whether to wear a necklace – LOVE this! More designers should consider this – I spend forever on the dressing stand attaching things to some alternate spot so I can wear jewelry. Not so with this GREAT shirt! Continue reading
Before going as a fairy, I did spend some time considering other options including this wonderful dress from Fancy Fairy. If you have even the slightest yen to dress as a fairy, check this place out. The clothes are delightfully feminine and wisely straddle the fairy/not fairy world. This comes with lovely wings, but they can be left off. Until Second Life® gives us more clothing layers so we can wear our lingerie under our clothes, we women of SL are kept from experiencing one of RL’s great pleasures in SL – the knowledge that under the paint-spattered overalls, the cook’s apron, the doctor’s scrubs, the power suit our underwear is silky, soft and sexy. Until then, I guess the best we can do to get a similar joie de lingerie is to drag it out of the closet and wear it so it shows, in this case by pairing a sexy bra with a sheer top.
Some days things just fall into place. While testing landmarks for the SLURL directory yesterday, I found this lovely secret garden – but was wearing that black fur jacket and red pants and thought it would not work well for shooting yesterday’s clothes. It was sort of in the back of my mind when I got dressed this morning, but jumped front and center when I tried on this lovely dress I bought at Cover Girl while SLURL hopping. When I also add the new jewelry I picked up at Miriel’s new sim, it’s an amazing confluence of design and color whose coincidence of timing strikes me as unlikely, yet here it is.

I received a big old box o’ hair from House of Heart the other day, and while strapped to my dressing stand trying it on, Miffy popped over to see what I was up to and to tell me she had some new releases. When I got to Jordan (shown) she said “Here, model this with that one” and passed me the newest release at Don’t Ask..the fur trimmed pantsuit and shoes.
The coffee bean color hair was an easy choice to go with this outfit. This is one of my favorite designs of Miffy’s, it reminds me a mafia wife who bought couture. It’s fun and no pixel animals were harmed in the making of this fur. Continue reading

I heard from a couple of different places that Honey, not a new designer but in a new shop, was a having a sale the other day and so I popped over to check it out. After having been on SUCH A cocktail dress binge lately, I’ve been itching to let the more casual, old-school Gidge out of the closet for a bit. Yesterday it was men’s clothes but today I had to slip back into something a little more girly. The designs at Honey are what I think we’re all coming to expect, lotsa nice details – fun fresh color combinations and realisitic fashions.
Because while I appreciate the Bird Cage dress, I’m not wearing it OUT.
I’m also indulging in a bit of nostalgia here. This hair, from CAKE, was my first nonsystem hair. My friend Queen bought it for me about a year and a half ago, and then I went systemically through their store over the next few months buying every single STYLE of this color. Now just a note about this hair. You can see the clip there? Ok, as a new player, been playing like oh 20 minutes, I was whisked around SL to upgrade the AV and this hair was one of the purchases. Those hair clips says SCRIPTED. I never, ever, in a year and a half ever bothered to check what that meant. I thought it was referring to the hair being flexi frankly………and then when I got dressed…..I touched them. Continue reading

When I saw the Tateshina mens set posted by Tori Heart a few weeks ago, my first though was, “That would look totally cute on me.” For reasons I never quite understand, a lot of the Bare Rose male models LOOK like girls (one has boobs I swear) so I often eye the menswear with the same desire as the women’s releases.
One of my very favorite features of the releases at Bare Rose is that June frequently offers multiple colors of the same item, for a very reasonable price. This one comes with two sets of pants and 4 shirt colors. Continue reading
