Bandana Day!

It’s Bandana Day and first thing I did when I signed on to Second Life® was take off my lovely wig and put on this vibrant and lush bandana from Exile. Luckily I snapped it the other day so you can see it in all it’s glory. With my Retro-Ecto outfit supplied by Linden Labs, I headed out for a day of exploration, stopping briefly at Angkor Wat before running over to see the progress on Vogel’s new store, sadly still unfinished but looking good. The vendors are up, there’s just nothing in them.

****STYLE NOTES******

  • Bandana: Exile -fired up red/purple bandana

A Star is Born…

Not really. I was busy yesterday building a concert stage for a live concert by Maht and his friend Ethan later this month and wanted to check out the spotlight placement so I hopped on the stool and took a few snaps. As you can see the spotlight falls behind, not in front of the face, so folks at the concert will have a clear view and can snap photos without any trouble.  However, if I were a rock star, I would be perfectly at home on the stage with always perfect Adam n Eve leather pants and this adorable top from CHI. A little bird told me…

My old boyfriend Schrottvogel Wei has earned a good reputation for his swimsuits, but his main focus has been his custom surfboards. However, he is expanding his bikini line, launching his new store VOGEL with 59 new bikinis. Why 59? It just happened that way. Anyway, Vogel means bird, hence the adorable logo on the derriere and in the post title.

In the morning light…

AM Radio made some major changes at Tusk. It’s now underwater, but still beautiful and evocative. Here I am inside the little building on the pier looking out at the water and enjoying the warm sun streaming in the window. It looks like  it will be a lovely day. I hope so because I forgot to bring a jacket.

What Every Fashionista Needs – and how to make it

All but the most flamboyantly exhibitionist of us have an outfit or two that we adore but are reluctant to wear due to over-exposure. So, we might wear the outfits only with our beloved – knowing that sort of exposure is a treat for his eyes alone. But, taking a few minutes, we can make ourselves some undergarments that will make the outfits something we can wear in public and not worry.

In this post, I am wearing two SHAMELESS outfits that defnitely expose everything, a feature, not a bug, in the eyes of the daring designer Trinity Eales. For me, pixel prude that I am, I needed a solution. Continue reading

Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun

There’s a new designer on the block. She doesn’t have a big stock with lots of outfits yet, but what she has is delightful and original. I am hoping she develops a good following, is super successful and keeps on making wonderful clothes like these. One of the rewards of blogging fashions is discovering some new and exciting designer that just makes you flip, especially when she tracks you down and gives you samples of her work to review which is exactly what Kimmie Mosten of the new Foxy Moron store at Juicy Del Mar did.

Oranges Are Good For You

I love the fruit and the color orange. Sadly, I became allergic to oranges a few years ago and can only enjoy the fruit in SL now, but the color is still a pleasure in both worlds. With oranges this brililant and rich – all I can say is orange you happy I took pictures?

Last night I had a lovely conversation with Abraxxa Anatine, the creative force at EarthStones, who was looking for a skirt featured in a post a while back.  She generously gave me some of her most recent releases including the luscious Fire/Silver version of her Crystal Elements necklaces she released yesterday. It comes with two pieces – a shorter necklace that attaches to the spine – where my top’s collar attaches. Lovely, though, to have two options. As chance would have it, I had just bought this lustrously glossy orange shirt from Good Look Designs. Together, they look good enough to eat – so long as you haven’t any allergies.
