When the skies of November turn gloomy

The sun has left us and probably will not return until next June. Oh, sure we might get a glimpse for a minute here and there and maybe even a teasing hour of clear skies, but winter has settled in with the clouds and the rain and the dour weather. Thankfully, we can teleport to other places in a heartbeat, to sunny Cuba or Costa Rica, to Singapore or India or Africa and all the sunny, happy climes. But for today, I will dress for the gloomy November skies.

Dance the night away!

Sunday afternoon Maht did one of his best sets ever at the Velvet – a homage to the great songwriters and I was ready to dance because I was eager to try out the new dances from Akeyo in a group. I prefer dances that don’t make the men dancing with me on my HUD look silly, and these Akeyo dances really fit the bill. Animazoo has some great ones, too, by the way. No disrespect to Sine Wave, which also produces some good club dances. It’s just that I cringe when I see a guy doing OMG. What can I say?   Anyway, eager to dance, I decided a nice miniskirt and tights would suit and sure enough they did.

Who Needs Another Prim Skirt and Tank Top Combo?

Well…….I do.

Casual wear in our world consists of pants and tops or skirts and tops – just like RL. So yeah, it can get tiresome to see tank after tank after tank paired with this or that. Which is where patterns and textures come in so nicely.

For me, this ensemble at SHAMELESS was an easy sell, the skirt is simple and unobtrusive (prims skirts have to be eye-catchingly brilliant or very simple in my opinion) and the top is a fun print. Continue reading
