Made For Each Other

I suppose technically these two pieces, the LeeZu sweater and the Mimikri pants, cannot possibly be made for each other, but even if they had been, they could not possibly make a better pairing. White the cream on cream prints are not identical, they are as compatible as they can possibly be.  I think cream and beige and winter whites are some of the most sophisticated colors and when well blended, they create such an urbane and chic look that the more usual black cannot achieve.

Fashionable Relay Challenge #30

How many of us thought it would take more than two months to work our way through the Fashionable Relay Challenge – and that we have is testament to the inspiration and guiding force behind the challenge Sasy Scarborough – and she will surely see us through to the end. I have enjoyed seeing the varied but always well-executed outfits throughout the challenge, but none more so than Elisabeth of Ou la la mode, so I was very pleased when Sasy asked me to pick up the baton after her. So, her outfit has several elements that I would love to build an outfit from including the jeans, vest, belt, hair and shoes. I ran around checking them out and finally decided on the Wide Belt Embossing from Coco because I needed a good casual prim belt.

Going Dotty for Van Gogh

I had the original Van Gogh dress from Lady Thera’s Art & Fashion, but last night while I was talking to her about another outfit that is no longer on sale, she recalled some photos my ex shot of me in that dress and sent me a newer edition. Much sexier, she said.  It sure is. It comes in two version – with a prim skirt or with the system skirt. With the system skirt, you can even do some navel-gazing. The one I am wearing is the one with the prim skirt. Yup, very sexy.

Argyles and Tweeds, Yum!

I wonder if I come by my love  of argyle and tweeds by way of my ancient ancestory Macbeth or poor Duncan, his murder victim. It’s one of the difficulties of being a descendent of both the murderer and the victim, to whom should I lay claim? Frankly I doubt either one of them had an argyle as lovely as this. I don’t think Lady MacBeth did either for that matter.  After all, IBizarre had not opened yet.

I Was In Error

Well, I was technically in Error when I shot these pictures – in the Error sim, that is. I really wanted to share with you this beautiful sim. Certainly, it’s not conventional beauty rife with flowers and greenery and lush with life, but a desolate beauty that draws you in.  I decided to wear the Creamshop Dalmation dress because its colors were so well-matched to the colors of the island.

BUNNEH!

posted by Gidge Uriza

Games You Can Play Wearing This Bunneh Costume:

  1. You can be the new cocktail waitress at the Mansion who has displeased a younger, more virile, less-colostomy-bag-wearing Hef -who has decided to punish you – in the hot tub, with another blonde.
  2. You can be the Princess who was transformed by the evil sorceress into this Bunneh/Human Hybrid who can only consumate her love – ummmm…….like a rabbit?
  3. You can be the girl who showed up at the Easter Costume Party not realizing it was a children’s event who is then, ahem, privately schooled by the hottest single dad in the room – in the laundry room away from the kiddies eyes of course.
  4. You can be the hottest Can-Can girl the day the Moulin Rouge goes ALL BUNNEH!

Or, you can simply pick up this delightfully whimsical bunneh outfit at Lemania which IS NOT FREE but benefits the Relay for Life and have your own fun. Continue reading

Callie Cline Made Me a Cowgirl

posted by Gidge Uriza

Green leopard boots with color change gems? Are you serious? I don’t understand why these didn’t give me a CALL to come over and fetch them. These boots were one of my MANY green pickups during Callie’s big green L$99 sale – and then I added the jeans when she had her big L$10 sale right after.

She’s had some amazing sales lately. Continue reading

All Dolled Up

I love Pixel Dolls. Have I said that before? The store was one of my early shopping discoveries back when I was pretty new to Second Life. It was probably the fourth or fifth store I discovered and within my budget range.  Of course, with the amazing 50L sale that just ended, it’s even more affordable lately.  It’s definitely a place for stocking up on good separated like this highwaisted skirt. Now this skirt is one that makes just about any shirt wearable. I think my readers know by now I am not a lover of the crop top look – not in RL or SL. I want my shirts long enough to reach my skirt or pants and long enough to tuck in.  Sometimes though, a shirt is just so adorable I cannot resist and then it sits unworn.  Unless, of course, there’s a highwaisted skirt that can coodinate. Luckily, Pixel Dolls made this skirt in a host of colors.

The Redrum Public House and Cinema

Stanley Kubrick fans, rejoice.  There’s a theatre where you can wander around rooms and sets from Kubrick films including the surreal orange and white bathroom from Clockwork Orange, the milk bar and more. Upstairs at the Redrum Public House Cinema, you can settle in to enjoy the film in a comfy little theatre. I was kicking around a bit so dressed for comfort in these wonderful rolled up jeans and Chola shirt.
