Quick Look: Magnolia

I am busy this morning and only have a few minutes to share this lovely dress from Magnolia that I wore to Stacie Pryor’s birthday party on Monday. See how far I am behind!! With it I am wearing a rocking hot handbag from KA Designs, the phyton and that is not a typo.

Dysfunction Junction, What's Your Function?

I have a new project I’ve taken on. I recently did the key hunt with Cajsa and Belle. And I have a confession.

It is the first hunt I’ve ever actually DONE it all. I have never had a hunt hang- out night with my girlfriends, never actually just SAT UP until it was done. So afterward, after I had collected my BOOTIE……..I had this thought.

What if? What if I took my time and went back to each and every store that was good enough to particiapte – and check them out? What if I actually patronized them, since I was introduced to many of them via this hunt? Continue reading

Eating My Way Through the Sxy2nd Sim

So a few nights a go my friend Jackson, when asked what he was doing, replied that he was building his boardwalk. Boys in SL telling me they are building is the equivalent to being asked to watch someone play a video game. So I said “That’s nice, talk to you later” and went on about my life.

I spent too many of my first months on the grid, watching other people build.

But I was curious, so when I was certain it was safe, I popped over to see what was there.

YAY Games! Im totally taking Silo over here!

YAY Games! I'm totally taking Silo over here!

I’m a real life skeeball junkie. As a matter of fact, I AVOID skeeball because I have no off switch where it is concerned. I looooove Skeeball. Continue reading

Black and Blue on Fancy Friday

Wearable art is something that we all like to dream about wearing. Well, some of us. The ones without real goals or actual responsibilities.

I like to pretend I am one of those people, therefore I stand by my first statement.

Wearable art is something that we all like to dream about wearing. Continue reading

O Admiral, My Admiral

My apologies to Walt Whitman.

Last Saturday, I saw Uma’s marvelous post with the My Admiral Jacket from Milk Motion. She is one of my favorite bloggers and someone whose originality and fashion wit brings real joy and elan to the feed.  I have never met her, but certainly get the impression that she is what we call “nice people” in my neck of woods as her blog is always positive and a delight. When I saw that jacket I knew I had to have it and seriously, it was a struggle to take it off. In fact, I wore it in two outfits back to back.

Turn Out The Light and Turn Out The Light

For Cajsa’s retirement from MDR Photo Studio I went to the jeweled tones of Clio. Her Sabina gown in rich purple, the color of lent, symbolicly showing that something was being in given up – for the good even if it was sad.

Perhaps it will only be a hiatus, only time will tell.

Clio is a natural at creating slick, chic designs that would cling in RL. The type of gowns you would just KNOW that girl had no panties on underneath – no way she could with that slinky silhouette. Continue reading

Hee Haw or I wasn't kidding about the boots.

Normally I would wait and post this in the morning, but since I have shown you Miffy in these old lace up boots in black, I thought you would enjoy the funny coincidence that we were both wearing the same boots, but in completely different styles. After a trip to magi take, I could not resist showing off my finds – especially since it reminds me of cleaning out the cow barn at my uncle’s dairy farm. This may be TMI, but I assure you it’s much more pleasant shoveling straw and manure than washing down the milk off the floor in the milking shed.

Back To Work? Really?

It’s alleged that it is Monday Morning and that this means I need to put on a suit and act like a grownup and not some pixel fashionista.

Sigh. Who’s plan IS this anway? I didn’t vote for it. I should send out a memo….

Or just stay swaddled in another super fun production by June Dion’s BARE ROSE. Bare Rose as we all know is great for boxing up several versions of their clothes and for often giving you accessories (FTW) and goodies to complete your look.

TOY SHOP GIRL is no exception.

Including the jeans, top, bag and all the other accessories (most of which are just images on the bag or the shirt which is good, you aren’t carting around a lot of prims and they are well done and look good). It also includes the glasses which Cajsa insists make me look like Sarah Palin.

A small part of me died upon hearing that. Continue reading
