Five Reasons to Love Fresh Baked Goods

posted by Gidge Uriza

  1. Fresh Baked Goods Jewelry all comes loaded with color change scripts, so for L$100 you get myriad options!
  2. The names are just fun and sassy. I love designers who come up with fun names for their items. It catches my attention – and makes me remember them.
  3. Variety – with a small selection they still manage to capture a range of jewelry needs from cheeky retro, rocker to elegant.
  4. Beautiful, quality freebies. I get turned on by designers who love their customers, and prospective customers, enough to put out something nice.
  5. Price. I realize I already mentioned it, but when you consider that we don’t blink at spending L$300 or more on some pieces, knowing that Fresh Baked Goods has their items set at about L$100…..really, what a steal.

And no, this is not a paid endorsement. I just really love their jewelry! Continue reading

This Girl Won A Fat Pack of Silks

posted by This Girl

So my friend used to keep this Gorean Slave. I dunno why. I mean, I DO know why, but – I don’t know why she hung out with the GANG and all since they don’t tend to let Gorean slaves be all SOCIAL the way the rest of us always were, yet there she was.  And somehow I always ended up getting left with her. “Here, stay here with my slave and make sure she doesn’t eat my shoes.” or whatever he’d say. A Star is Born…

Not really. I was busy yesterday building a concert stage for a live concert by Maht and his friend Ethan later this month and wanted to check out the spotlight placement so I hopped on the stool and took a few snaps. As you can see the spotlight falls behind, not in front of the face, so folks at the concert will have a clear view and can snap photos without any trouble.  However, if I were a rock star, I would be perfectly at home on the stage with always perfect Adam n Eve leather pants and this adorable top from CHI. A little bird told me…

My old boyfriend Schrottvogel Wei has earned a good reputation for his swimsuits, but his main focus has been his custom surfboards. However, he is expanding his bikini line, launching his new store VOGEL with 59 new bikinis. Why 59? It just happened that way. Anyway, Vogel means bird, hence the adorable logo on the derriere and in the post title.

What Every Fashionista Needs – and how to make it

All but the most flamboyantly exhibitionist of us have an outfit or two that we adore but are reluctant to wear due to over-exposure. So, we might wear the outfits only with our beloved – knowing that sort of exposure is a treat for his eyes alone. But, taking a few minutes, we can make ourselves some undergarments that will make the outfits something we can wear in public and not worry.

In this post, I am wearing two SHAMELESS outfits that defnitely expose everything, a feature, not a bug, in the eyes of the daring designer Trinity Eales. For me, pixel prude that I am, I needed a solution. Continue reading

Not Your Daddy's Rolling Stones

Let me make one thing perfectly clear, I am not hating on the Rolling Stones. They rock my world.  It’s just a reference to the stones in the necklace and the shoes, plain, highly polished river rock by the look of it. I started this outfit off backwards, starting with the sash from Paper Couture’s Gypsy Moon outfit. However, when a sash is that lovely, sometimes it has to be the inspiration.

Lotus Eating @ Flashman's

I find new-to-me stores all sorts of ways, from FashCon notices, reading about them here on the fashion blogs, or just wandering around a shopping district and discovering their fashionable goodness. But now I have  a new way to find out about designers and creators – tips from our blog readership. I got such a tip from regular reader Reverie Boucher who wanted me to check out her favorite store – Black Moon – as she felt it and its designer Vanilla Sola deserved more attention than they receive. Smoke Gets In My Eyes

I am sincerely appreciative of the many freebies and group gifts showered on Second Life’s residents by the clothing designers and creators. Some however, do strive to create group gifts that are in a different class and in that group, Sissy Pessoa is the Gold Medalist. From Grandma’s Closet to Snake Outfits to this lovely new gift this month that includes a chair and two cigarettes in holders for all you smoking AV’s out there. Me, I quit smoking July 8th, so when i took a puff my eyes closed. The next snap would have been me sneezing.  : )
