No, I didn’t flunk math, but in this case, take 1 lovely bra and 1 lovely corset and put them together and you get 1 lovely top. The corset is from A Piece of Candy and has such a beautifully intricate fabric – reminding me of Frank Lloyd Wright’s stained glass windows, actually. I really loved the fabric and wanted to show it off, but wanted some straps and frankly, the plain edged top of it just needed a bit of boost. So, trying on some bras that would be just a bit higher to give it an edge, I put on this lovely Casa del Shai bra with a bit of pink lace to pick up the pink in the fabric and I knew I had what I wanted.

Sweater Dresses are Hot For Fall!

I was headed to THE VELVET to dance my heart out with Cajsa during our friend Maht’s Sunday set when this great sweater dress was dropped on me from Linc. It comes in an array of colors and they’ve done a nice job with the skirt prim.

It was a nice Sunday afternoon kind of dress to club in. Plus it’s wintery cozy – I love the big oversized collar on it.  It would also look great with slacks (expect to see it that way!)

So I let my hair down and danced the afternoon away with Cajsa.

I'm No Ingenue – Or AM I?

I’m online so intermittently lately – sigh. I MISS everything. But I got sooo lucky that I caught this release from Ingenue. I can’t say enough about how much I always LIKE Ingenue when I wear it – and I should freaking blog them more.

I’m a huge fan of a well made system skirt with gorgeous, rich texture and this classic retrol styled GENE dress doesn’t disappoint.  This color or the red it also comes in would make a totally AWESOME holiday party dress. Continue reading →

Up on the Roof

Like many of the people in SL, I live in a skybox. Actually, I have joined a couple skyboxes together to make my house, moving and removing some walls and plopping a little skybox on top of the main one. I also use the roof – it’s my dance and party floor decorated with fantastical flowers from Eshi Otawara. I love astronomy and added a little meteor shower from 2extreme just for fun.

I decided to shoot this outfit up on the roof just to shoot around those beautiful flowers.  The top is a lovely casual black and gray top from Dutch Touch, and the gray pants are wonderful wide leg palazzos.

I got a Blog Lovin’ Folder dropped on me from Reasonable Desires and imagine my delight when the IM which followed mentions “Oh and it comes with a goat.”

I mean. OH HELL YES!!!!

The Alpine Beer Girl by Reasonable Desires is a fun costume for your Beer Hall Putsch or just a little goat-herd role play if you like. I wore it around for two days, torturing the In World bloggers group with tales of my goat before we finally ended up having a party at my place so I could wear it around in front of other people.

Mmmmmm, beer!

Yes – it ALSO comes with a lovely stein so that your fraulein can imbibe with the goat-herd at the beer hall, regardless of whether or not there is a putsch in progress. Continue reading →

I Went to Wretched Hollow

I read in New World Notes that Wretched Hollow was one of the most popular sims on Koin-Up last week, so I popped over to see why. Well, it’s bucolic with a dash of the mystical. It even has a glass conservatory. What’s not to photograph. Since it was such a romantic scene, I decided to shoot this romantic flowered dress from sonatta morales. I made it slightly more romantic than the original intent by editing the texture just a tiny bit – making the skirt semi-sheer instead of opaque.
