Working At The Carwash!

Posted by Gidge Uriza

I’d had a full day of shopping and hard work looking for fashion goodies(I had been searching for shoes, I need fall shoes darnit), when Cajsa drug me off to wash her car! Geeez!

Ok, kidding – but she thought I looked like a tough girl in this outfit and thought the Car Wash was the perfect place to shoot it.  I got this super fun tough girly outfit from Indi and I picked it up on a hunt that Freestyle covered. I only own three things by Indi, all of which I got on the hunt and I feel a little guilty about that, because I just love all three items.

The delish thing about this outfit, is that it came with oodles of layers – including this hot lingerie layer……

And then there was Yodeling Elaine – the Queen of the air

Aerial Assault at the Carnival of Doom

We put up our tent on a dark
Green knoll, outside of town by
The train tracks and a seagull dump
Topping the bill was Horse Face Ethel
And her ‘Marvellous Pigs In Satin’

We pounded our stakes in the ground
All powder brown
And the branches spread like scary
Fingers reaching
We were in a pasture outside Kankakee

It Doesn’t Matter What They Say……In the Jealous Games People Play…..HEY HEY HEY!

Back in the day when Cajsa and I did all the events on Vicious Island, we spent FOREVER planning what we were going to wear. So when MDR announced it was going to have an 80s night…..I went back into my “OMG I HAVE TO HAVE THE CUTEST COSTUME EVEN THOUGH I CAN’T WIN A PRIZE” mode.

I had already picked up the super fun 80s Girl Freebie from Layniewear, just to HAVE. MONTHS ago I picked that up. So I knew that I already had some fabulous acid washed jeans and faboo CHOOSE LIFE shirt to start the outfit. Continue reading

The only thing better than Cajsa finding a fun new designer is Cajsa finding a fun new designer and me getting new clothes outta the deal.  I was stamping my strep throat infected little feet when I saw the UBER cute numbers she had picked up from FOXY MORON so you can IMAGINE my total shrieking girly delight when I got review pieces from them. Five Reasons to Love Fresh Baked Goods

posted by Gidge Uriza

  1. Fresh Baked Goods Jewelry all comes loaded with color change scripts, so for L$100 you get myriad options!
  2. The names are just fun and sassy. I love designers who come up with fun names for their items. It catches my attention – and makes me remember them.
  3. Variety – with a small selection they still manage to capture a range of jewelry needs from cheeky retro, rocker to elegant.
  4. Beautiful, quality freebies. I get turned on by designers who love their customers, and prospective customers, enough to put out something nice.
  5. Price. I realize I already mentioned it, but when you consider that we don’t blink at spending L$300 or more on some pieces, knowing that Fresh Baked Goods has their items set at about L$100…..really, what a steal.

And no, this is not a paid endorsement. I just really love their jewelry! Continue reading

This Girl Won A Fat Pack of Silks

So my friend used to keep this Gorean Slave. I dunno why. I mean, I DO know why, but – I don’t know why she hung out with the GANG and all since they don’t tend to let Gorean slaves be all SOCIAL the way the rest of us always were, yet there she was.  And somehow I always ended up getting left with her. “Here, stay here with my slave and make sure she doesn’t eat my shoes.” or whatever he’d say. Bandana Day!

It’s Bandana Day and first thing I did when I signed on to Second Life® was take off my lovely wig and put on this vibrant and lush bandana from Exile. Luckily I snapped it the other day so you can see it in all it’s glory. With my Retro-Ecto outfit supplied by Linden Labs, I headed out for a day of exploration, stopping briefly at Angkor Wat before running over to see the progress on Vogel’s new store, sadly still unfinished but looking good. The vendors are up, there’s just nothing in them.

****STYLE NOTES******

  • Bandana: Exile -fired up red/purple bandana
  • Ecto-Retro Cloud: Linden Labs

A Star is Born…

Not really. I was busy yesterday building a concert stage for a live concert by Maht and his friend Ethan later this month and wanted to check out the spotlight placement so I hopped on the stool and took a few snaps. As you can see the spotlight falls behind, not in front of the face, so folks at the concert will have a clear view and can snap photos without any trouble.  However, if I were a rock star, I would be perfectly at home on the stage with always perfect Adam n Eve leather pants and this adorable top from CHI.
