Here We Are. Now, Entertain Us…….

Holiday Party Season is rolling down the pike. Have you started shopping? HAVE YOU? Good grief….me neither – not REALLY. I need to get it together. Fast, because with Halloween rolling up uber-fast you KNOW how quickly all the big fun events start happening. Luckily for me, I do happen to know a couple of really top notch designers who help keep me from dressing like a total slag.

I am speaking of the lovely Kunglers of course. If you haven’t been to their store yet – check’em out. Besides offering a quality freebie on a regular basis, they have a really tremendous RANGE of designs. Looking for something casual and relaxed? They’ve got this. Or some really lovely lingerie that won’t break your bank? Try this. Something really femme but dateworthy?  Literally – the range is there, from very fancy evening event to causal romp with friends…….which is why I always am so excited to see what is new from Kunglers. Lucky Chair Parties – The Grid's Hen Party

Ah Zaaaaaaaaaaara

Ah Zaaaaaaaaaaara

posted by Gidge Uriza

It used to be that lucky chairs were full of junk no one wanted, but still – you were kinda tickled if you won.  Then slowly, good designers have added them. And now even, it’s become a truly fashionable trend to create the lucky chair only items.

Our desire to obtain what cannot be BOUGHT therefore creates spontaneous Lucky Chair Parties. Such as at Zaara one night.  Cajsa and I were shopping and decided to stop in to see what was up with the lucky chair – there was a beautiful new dress in the chair (pictured obviously). Continue reading

Dirndl Delicious

This is one of my favorite dresses. I usually pull it out when cooler weather comes because of the fur collar, but the light airy skirt really speaks more to a warmer climate. Maybe it’s warm days – cool nights gown. Let’s play guess the designer. Ready?

This comes with three different color “jackets” which are the waist cincher. It comes with two different color tops plus two different fur collars, AND it comes with hose. Because of the great layer options, you can actually wear this dress a lot of different ways, which is typical of this designer – as are the colors included in the pack.

No guesses? None? Really!?

It’s Bare Rose.

Just when you thought Bare Rose was only for Gothic-Armored-Yukata Wearing-Post Apocalyptic-Vampire-Fairy-Cowboys, you find some other gems on the walls. Some of my favorite pieces I own from Bare Rose came from lonely nights on The Grid, just chilling out looking vendor by vendor at Bare Rose just to see what June has. After all, with SO much for sale – it’s hard to really know WHAT your options are. Continue reading

Popular? I Know About POP-U-LAR!

Kungler’s has started putting out luxurious evening wear, and with the holiday season coming up full speed it’s never too early to start adding pieces for your fall/winter events. This elegant formal look boasts sleek lines, reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn – with over the top elegance on the bolero prim.

You can always expect variety with Kunglers releases, so you’ll find the bolero on different layers and lovely options on how to put this look together. So if you want elegant but the poofy bolero is too much, you can just wear it without the prim attachment for a sleek jacket look. Continue reading

Im With Stupid

I'm With Stupid

My friend Delilah loves to go to the reggae bars. She’s hunting that perfect rastafarian to help her find peace with the universe I think. I wanted to go out with her one night, I brought her to SL but like so many people you bring in world……she wandered off into her OWN new world and we don’t hang much. I wasn’t sure what to WEAR to a reggae bar. I mean, I haven’t been to one in world before.

I decided something colorful was in order and I hadn’t worn this pretty set from Foxy Moron yet. Continue reading

Peppermint Blue One Year Anniversary – FREE GIFT!

Posted by Gidge Uriza

Once Upon a Time at the Vicious Mall – I sent out a group IM for models. I said that the first 10 girls to respond would get to be models and of course keep the clothes. Alice07 Barzane responded, and despite her little English and my zero Japanese, we had a splendid afternoon taking pictures of clothes that would be for sale at Vicious Fairy. Continue reading

I Need A Dress That Says……

posted by Gidge Uriza

(just an author’s note – all sentiments listed below are actually one year old – they were the motivation for the dress’s purchase)

  • I am no longer to be considered trivial
  • I am not extra, I am part of the crew – as a matter of fact, I do more than you
  • Your boyfriend asked me to be his date for the grand opening of his club
  • He asked me because you are out of town, but it’s a real date
  • I am competing with you
  • Pay attention, because here I am, and I’m not leaving
  • I am powerful, I am beautiful and if you are bad to me, I will rock your world

What sort of dress expresses so much power and fashion? What sort of dress REALLY puts you out there….so that you CANNOT be ignored?

I thought this one did. Continue reading

It was at a 4th Friday Art Exhibit I hosted once at Vicious (yeah I used to make them do cultural stuff ….no shooting the artistes)…that I was exposed to the vibrant, kinetic artwork of Elros Tuominen. Cajsa was friends and had suggested his sculptures for our next event, so I said sure no problem and we were set.

You’ve seen SL art. A lot of it is shite. But when you run into something different, something that makes you say…..Oooooo I like this…..then you’ve hit on it. Whatever IT is. Continue reading

Sweater Weather Approacheth!

posted by Gidge Uriza

Sweaters, ladies. Sweater weather is coming. Yes you heard me. Labor Day is coming in the US which means we’ll be packing up our whites and our linen, and pulling out sweaters, tweeds and wool. Which makes this a perfect time to show off what I recently picked up at Stitchy by Stitch.

I like to check out the occasional art gallery and I’ve heard about Quadrapop Tree forever and never made it over. While I missed the grand opening of their sim, I managed to eek out some exploring time one afternoon recently and this little ensemble made the cut for the day.  Slinking around the mysterious modern landscape and taking in the wonderful pieces, this was a nice casual choice for such a nice open sim.
