Chantilly lace and a pretty face

Okay, I just love that song and would dig it out for anything, but it seems to fit with the lovely lace in this jacket. I have another prim jacket of lace made by Rano Noel that I blogged recently. Sadly her store is closed, her website is down and she has not responded to several im’s and note card inquiries. I can only conclude the has left SL for awhile.

Because that jacket was a wardrobe staple I pulled out a lot, I knew I had to find one that met those same needs so I would not be repeatedly blogging one item that you have no chance of finding. So I asked my friend Miffy to make a new one. Basically what was needed was a prim jacket (so you can wear it over those frequent jacket-layer-only tops), that was tintable and had a lace texture to reveal the top underneath and not look too heavy. It suddenly occurred to me that because the only skins of Hatchy’s I have worn were the Demon and the Neko skin that you might think she doesn’t make everyday skins. I decided I would wear her Mimi skin to show you. There’s a reason I don’t wear Hatchy’s skins very often. She made my shape and it’s somewhat similar to her own. Where'd You Get That? Don't Ask…….

I received a big old box o’ hair from House of Heart the other day, and while strapped to my dressing stand trying it on, Miffy popped over to see what I was up to and to tell me she had some new releases.  When I got to Jordan (shown) she said “Here, model this with that one” and passed me the newest release at Don’t Ask..the fur trimmed pantsuit and shoes.

The coffee bean color hair was an easy choice to go with this outfit. This is one of my favorite designs of Miffy’s, it reminds me a mafia wife who bought couture. It’s fun and no pixel animals were harmed in the making of this fur. Continue reading →

Throwing a house party last weekend (before my Red White and Blue madness week!) I was perplexed at which thing in my closet to wear. We were just having some friends over to Wang Manor for some dancing and fun, nothing fancy and no THEME and as I rifled through my dresses I remembed I had picked this up at Diversity the day it came out but hadn’t worn it yet!

I knew immediately I wanted to match up purples and gold – and these pansy earrings from Petal Meg were exactly what I was looking for. Pressed from real flowers, all of her jewelry is an elegant little piece of nature, and so unique.

Patriotica Part Seven – Hippie Hippie Shake

I had to admit I gave a giggle when I spotted this number on SLX. Not a total snicker, but OMG It’s got a scarf at the shoulder and bell bottom swishy sheer legs. Uber fun! It includes SKIN, and several different hair colors. I’m not wearing the skin, it was more pale than I care for but it was stars and stripes forever, I promise you that! I love these pants. I found them on ONREZ when searching for July 4 goodies to share with you. There is so much fun available out there right now – I love the creativity everyone shows at the holidays.

Hatchy created some special flag face skins for the World Cup and I asked her to create us one for the 4th of July. It’s available now at my place, Don’t ask.

Miffy was horrified that I had been in SL over a year and only owned on proper set of boots. So when she gave me these – I knew I had to rock a fun outfit to go with. Something MAD MAX vs. spoiled Diva was what I was going for.

Digit Darkes had a L$1 sale on a hidden item, the Piper shirt and it was an incredible find.  Some designers do separates well, some do full outfits, but Digit does both and it’s so much fun to pick up a new piece and see what you can do with it. Continue reading →
