Many of you might be aware that Teagan Blackthorne and Laynie Link recently re-invented their design house and launched the TEA LANE shop with new designs. I have been remiss in checking it out (It’s totally on my list) but Laynie was good enough to drop me some goodies to check out the new offerings.

Cowl neck sweater dress? MATCHING BOOTS? YAY! Continue reading

How Can I Be Sick………?

……When I am so CLEARLY dressed for the ball!

Yes ladies, I’m totally stricken with the plague. I’ve neglected all my blogging responsibilities in favor of some serious sleep, and pillow drooling.  Surprisingly, the pillow drooling has not been as therapeutic as I’d imagined.

But I digress……. Continue reading

Who? Me? Wear Silly Shoes? NEVER!

posted by Gidge Uriza

These shoes are getting a lot of mileage but they’re too HILARIOUS not to. Seriously, giant fairytale shoes with wings with what look like fairy lights……they’re the perfect pixel compliment to SCADS of outfits.  They’re so over the top that I knew they’d be a hoot even with this sleek look from Digit Darkes. Orange You Glad It's October?

posted by Gidge Uriza

The month of my birth, the month of All Hallows Eve, the true beginning of fall in my mind all pull me toward shades of orange and brown every year. Both in RL (sitting here right now decked out in BROWN) and SL the palette of my wardrobe takes a shift this time of year.

Okay okay, NOT this dramatic. Continue reading

Lucky Chair Parties – The Grid's Hen Party

Ah Zaaaaaaaaaaara

Ah Zaaaaaaaaaaara

posted by Gidge Uriza

It used to be that lucky chairs were full of junk no one wanted, but still – you were kinda tickled if you won.  Then slowly, good designers have added them. And now even, it’s become a truly fashionable trend to create the lucky chair only items.

Our desire to obtain what cannot be BOUGHT therefore creates spontaneous Lucky Chair Parties. Such as at Zaara one night.  Cajsa and I were shopping and decided to stop in to see what was up with the lucky chair – there was a beautiful new dress in the chair (pictured obviously). Continue reading

Dirndl Delicious

posted by Gidge Uriza

This is one of my favorite dresses. I usually pull it out when cooler weather comes because of the fur collar, but the light airy skirt really speaks more to a warmer climate. Maybe it’s warm days – cool nights gown. Let’s play guess the designer. Ready?

This comes with three different color “jackets” which are the waist cincher. It comes with two different color tops plus two different fur collars, AND it comes with hose. Because of the great layer options, you can actually wear this dress a lot of different ways, which is typical of this designer – as are the colors included in the pack.

No guesses? None? Really!?

It’s Bare Rose.

Just when you thought Bare Rose was only for Gothic-Armored-Yukata Wearing-Post Apocalyptic-Vampire-Fairy-Cowboys, you find some other gems on the walls. Some of my favorite pieces I own from Bare Rose came from lonely nights on The Grid, just chilling out looking vendor by vendor at Bare Rose just to see what June has. After all, with SO much for sale – it’s hard to really know WHAT your options are. Continue reading

What Is The Victory of a Cat On a Hot Tin Roof?

Just Stayin On It - As Long As She Can

Just Stayin On It - As Long As She Can

Cajsa came up with the theme for this hottie look when I was wanting to shoot some lingerie…the location inspired it I’m sure…..as this place seems about ready for the family to descend to wait for Big Daddy to die.

Wearing Simone!’s Hot Tin Roof Slip dress I escaped the family drama to cool off down by the river. After all, if I’m Maggie…..I’ve clearly got crazy family to escape. Continue reading

Me n' My Droogs Can't Make Up our Rassoodocks What To Do

posted by Gidge Uriza

I originally had a mind to write this entire post a la A Clockwork Orange but figured many of you might poke out your minds eye trying to translate Alex’s lingo. I also thought that I might poke out my own brain trying to DO the translation, so decided to let it go.

I’ve been looking for something to wear with these excellent boots of Miffy’s (disclosure – from my shop Don’t Ask) and while doing the car wash shoot the other night, Cajsa and I wandered into Go Ask Alice and I spied these cargo shorts……and a light went off.  WIth prim pocket attachments for a more authentic worn pocket look I’m in love with these. Slouchy, casual, comfortable, and just perfect for a night of ULTRA-VIOLENCE if you ask me. Continue reading
