A Day In The Life of a Very Spoiled Kitty

posted by Gidge Uriza

Yaaaaawn Stretch. Hiyas everyone. You all have Callie Cline to blame for my transformation into the most spoiled kitty on The Grid. I just went over to buy a couple of dresses, but there it was, the tail by Psychotic Neko for Callie Cline and the diamond Nekoture ears…….and I was hooked. Come on, how could I not love something THIS girly?

I thought I’d torture you and make you follow the glammiest, prissiest kitty ever around for a day. There are even two SUPER SPECIAL GUEST STARS in today’s post, but you gotta WAIT for them!

To start our kitty day, we need a bath. NO, we are not afraid of water. As long as the water comes from a fancy roman bath…….quit staring, you bum lookers.

Wear Sensible Shoes

posted by Gidge Uriza

While exploring rocky terrain, I think that it’s better to protect my pretty pixel feet and thus was completely stoked when my girls at A-Bomb brought out these AWESOME boots!

They are unisex boots with the excellent color change feature I love in all of their shoes. You can click HERE for their blog to see all the goodness. Yay for options. Continue reading

I Can't Brain, I Has The Dumb

There is nothing that my Gidge clogs from A-Bomb do not go with. Ok that is an exaggeration BUT – I LOVE the patent version, and didn’t even know I liked GREEN patent until I color changed them to go with the Tee – but yes.  I DO love green patent.

I had to go opposite of Cajsa as she was too glamorous today, so I’ve gone casual and comfy in this fun tee from DREAMS and the cuffed jeans from flavor designs. Continue reading

Rose Are Blue?

The bright, cheerful Ruffiela dress from Skin Flicks is a happy setting for the lovely Dark Mouse Roses Are Blue parure.

My mother loved music. When she went blind temporarily from a pharmacy dispensing error and still did not know if her vision would ever return, she would say “I would rather lose my vision than my hearing. I can still listen to music and that’s enough beauty for any lifetime.” She had a way of putting troubles into perspective and facing difficulties with stoic optimism.

Kicking Up Our Heels – Literally

posted by Gidge Uriza

Cajsa and I are completely fruity with glee over the release of the Cajsa Boots and Gidge Shoes from A-Bomb.  They have been out for sale for a wee bit, but with me being off line to have the baby, it took us some time to get together to shoot them in all their glory. Continue reading

Dotty is as dotty does

I have mentioned my love of polka dots before. I don’t know why, but they make me smile. No insult intended to squares and triangles and rhombi, but they just don’t press my happy button the way these lovely little round circles do. Polka dots often make me think retro and rockabilly. They make me think of Rizzo and Jive-Talkin’ and dancing the night away.  Certainly this fun little set of separates from A-Bomb would have made Rizzo happy any day of the week.

Baby's Got a New Pair of Shoes

Anyone who follows my plurks for any length of time knows I am a shoe hound. I love shoes and frequently post pics of shoes that melt my butter. Cat from the A-Bomb team recently was inspired by a pic I plurked from Valentino’s 2010 Spring collection to create a wonderful in-world homage and was kind enough to name them the Cajsa boots. Yes, I am doing the happy dance! Baby’s Got a New Pair of Shoes! and they’re named after me!

Shining Stars and Morning Fog

With the Morning Fog necklace and earrings and the Shining Star outfit, I almost feel like I am wearing the weather report. Of course, the weather report never looked this cute. Still covering the Accessory Fair, I turned today to more casual, everyday jewelry. The Morning Fog set from Bliensen & MaiTai is definitely that. Pastel gems strung on a leader necklace and a crystal-studded hoops for the ears and wrists are delightfully feminine and decidedly casual.

I love ruching and the ruching on this new dress from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice has amazing ruched details. Beginning on the left bodice and curving round the torso and right skirt, it adds visual interest and highlights the best of the feminine shape. Sissy made this dress in eight different colors and with two skirt options – a snug one as shown or a full sculpty skirt with a paper bag waist. Alexiaa Allen did a great post featuring the paper bag waist option, but as for me, I was loving the snug version.

Can't Learn Nothin' In School They Don't Teach On The Streets…

When I got the new releases at A-BOMB today I have to admit, the thing that made me SQUEEEEEEEEE was totally the bowling bag purse. I’m serious, how many things can I make this match? I love quirky accessories and even though I might not wear a rockabilly look on a regular basis, I was instantly so in love with the purse that I had to style the rest of the releases with it on the spot.
