It’s a short post, because I’m waist high in 20 cube boxes and I’m only taking a break while SILO runs off to get some BK. But….seriously, Petal Meg Jewelry + Rosemar Dress = FALL FANTASTIC.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. The same old story.  But when I got this lovely gift from Pixeldolls I WANTED to be swept away for a romantic night of dancing under the starts. I own enough jewerly from RICX to attend the opera every day for a month and never wear the same piece more than twice….I don’t see too m any people blogging RICX, but I like their stuff. What A Honey – Plus some Free AO Info

I heard from a couple of different places that Honey, not a new designer but in a new shop, was a having a sale the other day and so I popped over to check it out.  After having been on SUCH A cocktail dress binge lately, I’ve been itching to let the more casual, old-school Gidge out of the closet for a bit.  Yesterday it was men’s clothes but today I had to slip back into something a little more girly. The designs at Honey are what I think we’re all coming to expect, lotsa nice details – fun fresh color combinations and realisitic fashions.

Because while I appreciate the Bird Cage dress, I’m not wearing it OUT.

I’m also indulging in a bit of nostalgia here. This hair, from CAKE, was my first nonsystem hair. My friend Queen bought it for me about a year and a half ago, and then I went systemically through their store over the next few months buying every single STYLE of this color. Now just a note about this hair.  You can see the clip there? Ok, as a new player, been playing like oh 20 minutes, I was whisked around SL to upgrade the AV and this hair was one of the purchases. Those hair clips says SCRIPTED. I never, ever, in a year and a half ever bothered to check what that meant. Raid His Closet

When I saw the Tateshina mens set posted by Tori Heart a few weeks ago, my first though was, “That would look totally cute on me.” For reasons I never quite understand, a lot of the Bare Rose male models LOOK like girls (one has boobs I swear) so I often eye the menswear with the same desire as the women’s releases.

One of my very favorite features of the releases at Bare Rose is that June frequently offers multiple colors of the same item, for a very reasonable price. This one comes with two sets of pants and 4 shirt colors. Continue reading →

Cajsa Said SWEATER…..

…and then I’m in a sweater mood.  Even in summer a cool cotton sweater can be just the thing at night and I was just strolling around knicknack shopping the other night when I wandered into Stitch by Stitch. Featuring sweaters, some shoes (I’ll show you some on a later post), peasant skirts, and a few other pieces, Stitch by Stitch was a breath of fresh air – especially in their sweater selection.

I wasn’t ready to  completely commit to fall though, and ran over to Digit Darkes to pick up a leather skirt to wear with it……and realized once I had it all together I only own stockings, all of which hit under the skirt for a “I am an SL hooker” sort of look. Don’t get me wrong, I looooove stockings. But sometimes they just don’t look right with a skirt or dress. So I went on a hunt for PANTYHOSE. Continue reading →

When I visited Chic Boutique again after their re-opening, I headed straight to their swimsuits and lingerie, two areas they where they truly produce unique pieces.  I already own most of their swimsuits, but I spied Persephone and had to pick it up for a more elegant swimsuit option.

Let’s face it. None of us really have to work at picking up swimsuits which cover up our flaws – any flaws we have are intentional.  We are none of us, pixel girls, cursed with our grandmothers cankles or tummies which won’t mind after childbirth.  So then – the choice becomes, what are you saying with the swimsuit you choose to wear? I think sometimes that showing less in this perfect world can sometimes say more – don’t you think? Continue reading →

One of my new favorite haunts is the duo of Seasons and Facets (now under construction……Grand Reopening Soon I hope). Chica Indigo has a great program that I love, keep her in your favorites and you are entered into a drawing every month for a free outfit. SWEET! So many stores have had and then abandoned those programs where you get paid to keep them in your pics…..I think mostly because the scripts didn’t work properly or possibly also because people were running Alts and scamming them….(jerks)

So anyone that I like that will also reward me for keeping them in my pics is a group I will seriously consider. I really liked Seasons and Facets even without that, though, the first time I popped over there. And this LOVELY pantsuit that I WON last month (Oh Did I MENTION that I WON? HEEE!) was a perfect compliment to one of my new PXL CRY skins. Continue reading →

A relaxed weekend in the mountains (which is where I’ve been) called for something casual and fun. It’s still hot hot hot hot hot here, so even being in the mountains doesn’t provide cool breezes for relief at night. Kunglers PARADISE outfit is so bright and cheery, yet stylishly casual, I couldn’t resist it.

I don’t wear many “tank” tops and as I’ve said I don’t really wear Tshirts so finding casual pieces to wear that I like to wear always makes me happy.  I’ve struggled with SOME prim babydoll top attachments recently – they attach strangely, they move oddly, they’re just over-all wonky. This one seems to be big enough  that I could make a very slight adjustment and it didn’t hang bizarrely into my butt with my AO on (which as you can imaagine, makes a difference).
