Five Reasons to Love Fresh Baked Goods

posted by Gidge Uriza

  1. Fresh Baked Goods Jewelry all comes loaded with color change scripts, so for L$100 you get myriad options!
  2. The names are just fun and sassy. I love designers who come up with fun names for their items. It catches my attention – and makes me remember them.
  3. Variety – with a small selection they still manage to capture a range of jewelry needs from cheeky retro, rocker to elegant.
  4. Beautiful, quality freebies. I get turned on by designers who love their customers, and prospective customers, enough to put out something nice.
  5. Price. I realize I already mentioned it, but when you consider that we don’t blink at spending L$300 or more on some pieces, knowing that Fresh Baked Goods has their items set at about L$100…..really, what a steal.

And no, this is not a paid endorsement. I just really love their jewelry! Continue reading

This Girl Won A Fat Pack of Silks

So my friend used to keep this Gorean Slave. I dunno why. I mean, I DO know why, but – I don’t know why she hung out with the GANG and all since they don’t tend to let Gorean slaves be all SOCIAL the way the rest of us always were, yet there she was.  And somehow I always ended up getting left with her. “Here, stay here with my slave and make sure she doesn’t eat my shoes.” or whatever he’d say. Living Dead Girl

I’ve been collecting boots. This time last year I owned Zero Boots. Now, I’m a boot freak. I love big clunky tough girl boots. I try to keep my eye out for outfits to wear with boots, especially now that I’m heading into fall clothes – and when this one came out from Kunglers I knew it was exactly right to go with Miffy’s Boots. Excuse Me, Have You Seen My Sn@tch?

posted by Gidge Uriza

Okay. I’ve been eyeballing these pants at Sn@tch for a while. But it was only when I realized how great they’d go with the group gift from Pixeldolls shirt that I finally made the jump and went and picked them up.

Now, you’ve seen this shirt. Everyone on planet earth blogged it when it came out.

And it’s a really fun, festive design.

But my thing is, with few exceptions, I don’t blog things just because I just got them. Review items aside, I’m blogging for you WHAT I WEAR. So I’m not just saying “here is some crap in my closet isn’t it cool?” This is actually what I wore one day in SL, and then saved as an outfit. So my inventory becomes a bit of a journal of what I did and where I went. Continue reading

Modernista Fashionista

It was at a 4th Friday Art Exhibit I hosted once at Vicious (yeah I used to make them do cultural stuff ….no shooting the artistes)…that I was exposed to the vibrant, kinetic artwork of Elros Tuominen. Cajsa was friends and had suggested his sculptures for our next event, so I said sure no problem and we were set.

You’ve seen SL art. A lot of it is shite. But when you run into something different, something that makes you say…..Oooooo I like this…..then you’ve hit on it. Whatever IT is. Continue reading

The Butterfly Effect

posted by Gidge Uriza

I’m dogmatic about my eyes. I never change them. It’s to the point where I often think I’ll forget to list them in the fashion details – FNKY – PURPLE RAIN. Yet when I recently picked up this festive limited edition skin at Juicy it came packed full of these iridescent eyes with butterfly pupils.

A soft pink make up with delicate details for a girly girl seemed just my sort of skin to have hanging in the closet and I loved the idea of there being only a limited number of them being sold. I immediately knew what carnival of pink I’d drape over this new skin. Continue reading

Oooooh SAAAAY Can You SEEEEEEEE….MY EYES?

……If You CAN Then My Hair’s TOO SHORT!

See.

I know songs from Hair!

That particular one, was a favorite in High School – as we were lacquering our hair with more layers of Aquanet and teasing it this way and that, yet dropping those bangs down strategically to look disheveled.

I recently told Cajsa that I think my love affair with Aleri Darkes hair stems from my love of her bangs in the face styles.

I gotta have bangs. And Aleri isn’t shy about shagging up a ‘do with some killer bangs, I tell you that. Continue reading
