When Alice07 Barzane announced that the Peppermint Blue 1 Year Anniversary Party was going to be a Western Theme……I knew where I was going to turn. While I LOVE the fun of just hunting up stuff via search (I actually do) – looking up stores I might not have heard of etc to see what they have, I’d been looking for a reason to pick up WASTELAND COWGIRL from Bare Rose for quite a while.

I don’t normally look for a reason to pick up clothes, but this kind of falls into the “Costume” milieu of my closet and I don’t generally just collect costumes without cause. Yet, from the instant I saw this one on Phil’s place posted by Tori….I knew I wanted it. Pink Leather Chaps?!?! PLEASE! Continue reading

Reflections of The Way Life Used To Be

Reflections of The Love You Took From Me

Reflections of The Love You Took From Me

Through the mirror of my mind
Time After Time
I see reflections of you and me………

Happiness you took from me
And left me alone

With only memories

This new Reflections Dress from Digit Darkes is so elegant yet so overpoweringly sentimental, I immediately started singing the old Supremes song when I put it on. This is a dress for a night of elegance and romance.  I am wearing “Festival” and the name belies the depth of the dress.  It’s bold feathery skirt and elegant feminine bodice are a visual contrast that is even more emphasized by the drop waist. Me n' My Droogs Can't Make Up our Rassoodocks What To Do

I originally had a mind to write this entire post a la A Clockwork Orange but figured many of you might poke out your minds eye trying to translate Alex’s lingo. I also thought that I might poke out my own brain trying to DO the translation, so decided to let it go.

I’ve been looking for something to wear with these excellent boots of Miffy’s (disclosure – from my shop Don’t Ask) and while doing the car wash shoot the other night, Cajsa and I wandered into Go Ask Alice and I spied these cargo shorts……and a light went off.  WIth prim pocket attachments for a more authentic worn pocket look I’m in love with these. Slouchy, casual, comfortable, and just perfect for a night of ULTRA-VIOLENCE if you ask me. Continue reading

Peppermint Blue One Year Anniversary – FREE GIFT!

Posted by Gidge Uriza

Once Upon a Time at the Vicious Mall – I sent out a group IM for models. I said that the first 10 girls to respond would get to be models and of course keep the clothes. Alice07 Barzane responded, and despite her little English and my zero Japanese, we had a splendid afternoon taking pictures of clothes that would be for sale at Vicious Fairy. Continue reading

I Need A Dress That Says……

posted by Gidge Uriza

(just an author’s note – all sentiments listed below are actually one year old – they were the motivation for the dress’s purchase)

  • I am no longer to be considered trivial
  • I am not extra, I am part of the crew – as a matter of fact, I do more than you
  • Your boyfriend asked me to be his date for the grand opening of his club
  • He asked me because you are out of town, but it’s a real date
  • I am competing with you
  • Pay attention, because here I am, and I’m not leaving
  • I am powerful, I am beautiful and if you are bad to me, I will rock your world

What sort of dress expresses so much power and fashion? What sort of dress REALLY puts you out there….so that you CANNOT be ignored?

I thought this one did. Continue reading

Working At The Carwash!

Posted by Gidge Uriza

I’d had a full day of shopping and hard work looking for fashion goodies(I had been searching for shoes, I need fall shoes darnit), when Cajsa drug me off to wash her car! Geeez!

Ok, kidding – but she thought I looked like a tough girl in this outfit and thought the Car Wash was the perfect place to shoot it.  I got this super fun tough girly outfit from Indi and I picked it up on a hunt that Freestyle covered. I only own three things by Indi, all of which I got on the hunt and I feel a little guilty about that, because I just love all three items.

The delish thing about this outfit, is that it came with oodles of layers – including this hot lingerie layer……

It Doesn’t Matter What They Say……In the Jealous Games People Play…..HEY HEY HEY!

Back in the day when Cajsa and I did all the events on Vicious Island, we spent FOREVER planning what we were going to wear. So when MDR announced it was going to have an 80s night…..I went back into my “OMG I HAVE TO HAVE THE CUTEST COSTUME EVEN THOUGH I CAN’T WIN A PRIZE” mode.

I had already picked up the super fun 80s Girl Freebie from Layniewear, just to HAVE. MONTHS ago I picked that up. So I knew that I already had some fabulous acid washed jeans and faboo CHOOSE LIFE shirt to start the outfit. Continue reading

Why Yes,Billy, I WILL Go To The Dance With You!

The only thing better than Cajsa finding a fun new designer is Cajsa finding a fun new designer and me getting new clothes outta the deal.  I was stamping my strep throat infected little feet when I saw the UBER cute numbers she had picked up from FOXY MORON so you can IMAGINE my total shrieking girly delight when I got review pieces from them. Five Reasons to Love Fresh Baked Goods

posted by Gidge Uriza

  1. Fresh Baked Goods Jewelry all comes loaded with color change scripts, so for L$100 you get myriad options!
  2. The names are just fun and sassy. I love designers who come up with fun names for their items. It catches my attention – and makes me remember them.
  3. Variety – with a small selection they still manage to capture a range of jewelry needs from cheeky retro, rocker to elegant.
  4. Beautiful, quality freebies. I get turned on by designers who love their customers, and prospective customers, enough to put out something nice.
  5. Price. I realize I already mentioned it, but when you consider that we don’t blink at spending L$300 or more on some pieces, knowing that Fresh Baked Goods has their items set at about L$100…..really, what a steal.

And no, this is not a paid endorsement. I just really love their jewelry! Continue reading
