Casual Friday in Style

posted by Gidge Uriza

I saw this sweater on my first trip through Axel. It’s in the walkway where you rezz up – and as I passed it my first instinct was “Must Have”. But I was in a crunch, at that time, I wanted their cute Halloweenie Tanks and then I also wanted to check out the rest of their offerings. Continue reading

Quick Look – LINE

posted by Gidge Uriza

Cajsa took me to Line to check out the boots, but I ended up being mesmerized by the clothes as well. You might not know it, but I have a ridiculous collection of green shirts and sweaters in my RL in shades of this color of green. Continue reading

Swear To Shake It Up, If You Swear To Listen

There will be bonus points awarded to any one who can tell me what that song in the title is!

So I’m not a T-Shirt Person. At all. Hell, I can  make a T-shirt so I rarely pay them any mind in world at all, except for maybe my PRIM WHORE t-shirt which seems all too fitting if you know me. But when someone whose work you know is GOOD make s T-shirts you know that there is going to be something a little different, that sets them apart and makes the more interesting.

How about a badass graphic? Continue reading

Izumiya Steps It Up A Notch

posted by Gidge Uriza

You know Izumiya. Great bargains on Neko and Urban pieces, some fun Japanese traditional pieces. A few whole SETS of poses for free plus the entire second floor is free or close to it. So, we’re in a agreement, we KNOW Izumiya.

Or  I thought we did. Till I ran over there the other day, just to see what was new. Continue reading

I Got The Boogie Fever, I Got To Boogie Down

Posted by Gidge Uriza

I didn’t have any plans for New Years Eve, but when QXI Gears invited me over for an informal get together with friends, I wanted to wear something festive even if it wasn’t a “formal” event. Digit Darkes Nicole dress with it’s bright splashes of color was exactly what I wanted. Continue reading

Sometimes, I Just Find Stuff on the Floor

posted by Gidge Uriza

Wandering the grid, I’m prone to finding leftover hunt items sitting about. This is especially true around holidays, and I know how it can be. I once left Easter Eggs sitting out around Vicious Island for over a month – because I forgot where I hid them + Cajsa and I were really busy hosting two HUGE themed events per week.

I am usually terribly delighted when I find these things though, as my schedule rarely permits me to participate in “hunts” on a regular basis. Continue reading

Dress Me Up Challenge – Gidge by Luna Jubilee

posted by Gidge Uriza

Dressing like a grunge girl now poses the same problems for me that it did when I was a girl deeply enmeshed in the self-same music and culture. How to be a girly girl, in a scene that does not embrace the pink and frilly?

The answer of course, is carefully, very carefully. Continue reading

If You Have To Ask, You Can't Afford Me

posted by Gidge Uriza

My husband, Silo Uriza, has interjected that I should postcript that title with “And I don’t put out either…..”  but you know. I sort of thought that might drive away any trade……..

Ever have hair that you love even though it’s a hot mess? There’s nothing ugly about this hair from CAKE – yet, I can’t help wanting to give myself a hot oil treatment everytime I see me in it.

There is something so realisitically overprocessed about this hair – I can see the split ends, I swear.

I wasn’t originally putting together a hookerific outfit – I had picked up a freebie cocktail gown – Meshindo’s Gift – but, I had a problem with the skirt. And herein I have a confession. Continue reading

Dress Me Up – Gidge by Phire Zuhra

Took Me Long Enough to get Elfy – didn’t it? I’m having system issues, give me love.

So, Elfy.

Hmmm. I know some elves. And pixies of various sorts. Now, this condition is possibly only symptomatic of the elvies and pixes I know – but they are all consistently badly dressed. I’m not kidding. I wonder sometimes, if they don’t rock the BIAB clothes out of the role play sims and keep some fantastic costumes that I never get to see while fully into their Elf role play. Continue reading
