This Is How I Dress When I Want Stuff from I.T.

The creator of elegance, Sascha Frangilli, stretched your formal ball-gown’s possibilities with this suit jacket styled blouse for your YOUP gown. I suppose you MIGHT want to put a shell under it if you attended a conference……..or WOULD YOU? Continue reading

Spring Into Pink

posted by Gidge Uriza

Clio’s Blooming Flower dress was the perfect choice to pair with the real flower jewelry from Petal Meg. Spring is just popping up all around me, and I couldn’t resist the tulip inspired skirt that ornaments this festive dress.

And of course I had to add the hair from Elle F because you know. I gotta do that brand new thing! 🙂  It’s cute. Continue reading

Right Off The Rack

It’s fun to take a designers creations, especially when they are separates, and to really break them out – stretch how cool they can be, and show their versatility.

But sometimes, you just like the pieces the way the designer put them together at the shop.  I’m sure Zaara didn’t mean for these pieces to go together 100% of the time, but man, they are pretty together. Continue reading

Long Akward Posemaker Appreciation

posted by Gidge Uriza

Stepping up to meet Achariya’s Challenge are probably mostly photographers,  as photography is truly the symbiant love of the posemaker.  But, as a model who spends a great deal of time STANDING on poses, sorting through them sometimes and other times BEING sorted through on them, I actually have some great love for the art. Fashionable Relay Challenge

posted by Gidge Uriza

The Pink Plainers by Shiny Things that Tesa used were the building blocks of my fashionable relay challenge entry. I cannot resist the opportunity to hose myself down in girly pepto-bismol pink.

I thought it only fitting that a trip to PINK OUTFITTERS ended in a super girly pink look, to top off these excellent shoes. Continue reading

I Didn't Get Skin…At Ray Skin

posted by Gidge Uriza

It was at Ray Skin that I was Serenaded by a foreigner, crooner tunes by the PLEASUREMAN Gunther and I have to admit it was distracting. After all, despite liking an outfit, I like to sort of understand it as well. And I couldn’t concentrate on figuring this out with all the “oooo you touched my tra-la-la” going on.

I have no idea what this is.

I mean, I LIKE IT. I actually like it a lot. I like the color and the construction but like…….Retro? Vintage? Neko? Harajuku? Barbie Armegeddon? Urban Primitive? (ok not the last one) Continue reading

Silo returns to Civ, asking “Oh, got a lot of pointy hats do they?”

Gidge looks over, “Remarkably few, actually.”

Big Wheel Keep On Turnin'……..3 Stories about Efe

posted by Gidge Uriza

I have three stories all related to this post. The first is that from the moment I saw this dress from Casa del Shai, I HAD to have it and dress up like Tina Turner.  Why?

First Story:

When I was three my grandma asked me who was going to be for Halloween. I said I wanted to be that lady in the red dress. She smiled down at me indulgently and said,”Who?” So I said “You know – dat lady that SINGS and dances around in that red dress!” Again, thinking I’m so cute, she says “Who honey?” At which point I apparently started shaking and shimmying and belting out a three year old’s version of PROUD MARY.

Yes, I wanted to be Tina Turner.  You can imagine how well that went over in a conservative, white-bread midwestern household.  Personally I wish we had it on tape.

So Different From Others,The Angels Will Weep

posted by Gidge Uriza

When I put on anything “MENS” I always have the same question.” HOW BIG ARE THEIR AVS BECAUSE GOOD GRIEF THIS PRIM IS BIG!”  I’ve got a few men’s pieces, and this shirt from Armidi – the Gisaci Cambridge shirt is no exception. It’s completely cute in a variety of ways but ya gotta work to get those prim cuffs from being wonky.

I love my Bernie skirt from Poison Candy – this is the one WITHOUT the logo- I haven’t been there in a while though – this used to be a freebie. It’s got great detail with a zipper in the back and lace edging around the bottom. Continue reading
