Hunting Gear

Gidge and I did the VIP Keys hunt last night finishing late enough that I have not even peeked at our gifts yet. However, it was a pleasant hunt and 50 seems just about the right number. It was the first hunt I have completed since the Halloween Ghost hunt. I found some new-to-me stores and spent more than I should have, so it seems to work the way it’s supposed to.  This is the outfit I wore while hunting – casual and comfy, but still stylish and fun.

Walking on Sunshine

Last night Maht and I both retired from MDR Photo Studio – leaving our baby in the capable hands of Arcadia and Rhodesy and we celebrated with a lovely party. I made a clear platform (one I used for shooting in the past) at 200 feet so it’s right in the middle of the clouds and we danced on air. Actually, Achariya took some really great photos. Since it was in the clouds, I didn’t want lots of flexis to disappear depending on my angle, so I chose this lovely new dress from Paper Couture. Dressy, great for dancing and no long flowing skirt to disappear.

I Want to be a Hero! Part V of I ♥ EC Week.

Do you want to feel like a heroine in an historical romance? What are your options? You could go to acting school and get cast is a B-movie. You could track down Fabio and pose for a book cover for the newest bodice-ripper. Or you could click on the folder from Evie’s Closet with the Chimera gown in it.  Much cheaper than acting lessons or plane tickets to Italy or wherever.  Now, if there was ever a bodice made for ripping, look at the sweet sweet romance of the bodice on the Chimera dress.  Riiiiiiiiiip.

Do you want to feel like a Star? Part 4 of I ♥ EC Week

If you want to feel like a star you could initiate massive hydrogen fission and combust, burning at temperatures beyond my imagination, but measurable in Kelvins. Or you could run over to Evie’s Closet and pick up the wonderful Love Story gown. Believe me, the second option is much better for your complexion.

Yummy! That’s what popped into my head when I saw this fabulous jacket which is part of a fabulously beautiful outfit with a rich cream skirt. Feeding Frenzy

If the words Second Life and fashion have skittered within five miles of your brain, you know that Paper Couture has released their 2009 Spring Collection. Now, I would like to have that cool, detached above-it-all sangfroid that would allow these fashion events to pass by whilst I wait until the lagnormous crowds of shoppers have passed through, waiting calmly for the storm to pass so I can shop and blog in easy relaxation. However,  the ista in fashionista demands a bit of sheer insanity which is what last night’s shopping frenzy was. Standing at a bloggers convention in Paper Couture, all of us paused, waiting for the clothes to rez. It’s such a delicious bit of silliness and still fun and exciting…and so worth it when the collection is a stunning as this on. I have not looked at everything yet, but of what I have seen, this is the best collection of theirs to date.  And this dress, the  Beaded Wildflowers just takes my breath away with its detail and quality.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

It’s May and the sun peeps out every 15 minutes or so behind the normal grey Oregon sky – a harbinger of the real summer that will come next month. Looking out my window I see a riot of flowers, tulips, lavender, rhodies and azaleas and it’s so lovely. With that sort of sunny mood, I wanted a sunny dress and this one from Anuenue seems perfect for the occasion.
