That's some skirt

The new skirt from LeeZu – or actully, pants as she named the Mia Corset Pants, is one hot look that I think would be hard to replicate in real life. Of course, who needs to? It’s a high-waisted skirt with lots of ruffles that is open down the side.  I paired it with a LeeZu top – not any of the ones pictures, but a top actually designed to go with some short. The curve of the top is a perfect line with the top of the skirt – so they may not be pictured together, but they coudl be made for each other.

Rawr!

Sometimes the best outfits happen by accident. I was trying on some clothes the other night, getting ready to go dancing and had just put on a beautiful goth lolita dress from Blue Blood, but I really wanted something more clubby – so I right clicked on the folder for this black and white mini from bdreams. When it rezzed, I still had the corset and stockings from the Blue Blood outfit remaining and I thought it looked hotter than hot.  I added some gloves and red tights under the Blue Blood stocking and sure enough, when I dropped by the Skin Fair, someone said “Rawr!” hence the title.

I'm Bad

I am a little bad, I admit, in not getting around to posting any sort of Michael Jackson tribute until now. However, I only just decided to do this when I found the King of Pop pose set at 5ifth Order poses. I only picked up three of the 10 poses – though the entire set was tempting. Actually, the animator has a lovely tableua set up with pose balls that is just itching for a group to go jump on the pose balls and do a great group shot in all the poses. There’s fog, rocks, lights – very King of Pop!  Just as is this outfit I pulled together from Bare Rose, LeeZu and Milk Motion.

The Best Damn Pants

Wow! I have found the best damn pants and it was such a surprise, too. I was at Studio Sidhe to pick up that arch pose I used for the photo at the Chinese Garden and thought I would wander over to see if she had some new jewelry and turned a corner and came face to face with these amazing pants – linen pants, but linen pants that look like linen…and have the linen lines and nubbiness at the right scale. They are extraordinarily well done and if you need to see more closely click the photo for a larger size picture where you can clearly see the texture. I kid you not. The best damn pants.

Chocolate Covered Secrets

Life is sweet at Cafe Gourmand.

Gidge and I were hanging out at Crimson Rezzable the other night. We had popped over to check out the Lucky Chair and noticed there was a flag hunt going on – continues through Sunday – and then just chatting while waiting for things to rez. All of a sudden I spied with my little eye this dress from lurvebite that had me squeeing with glee. It looks like Chocolate Covered Cherries. I nearly danced the dress please me so. Clearly I had to get it. Then I thought it would be fun to shoot it with some of the luscious pastries from Cafe Gourmand, our friend Cezare Blanco’s new store. I  tp’ed him over to the blogging headquarters to rez me some pastries.  He arranged them artfully and even included the magnificent cake he made for for Polaire and his wedding. After shooting this snap I had to log off to eat. Continue reading

Too Much Fun

Sometimes I put together an outfit that just appeals to my sense of fun and whimsy more than most and I end up wearing it for days, putting it back on after shooting another outfit, just because I love it so. That’s what happened with this outfit, perhaps because of the gloves more than anything…but I did fall for the look and had to treat it to a little more fun with the photo shoot, so I used the Mannequins from Lost Angel – just because they are too adorable for words.

LeeZu Does It Again

LeeZu is more fashion forward and fashion adventurous than I am. I love to go to fashion shows featuring her clothes because there’s sure to be some extravagant and experimental forms and designs that are just a bit more wild and wonderful than my personal comfort level and that’s fine. I love to see it and marvel and know that there will also be equally extravangant and wild pieces that are at my comfort level. Her work spans such a range that you can always find something that’s “just right” like this lovely gown called Adriana.

Did I say gown? I should have said cocktail dress, I guess? Depending on how you wear it, LeeZu includes enough prim options to let you get it just right. The Sayuri pumps, by the way, are from HaysUriza.

Three More from Coco & Co.

An adorable black and white jumper. Shoes are from HAYSURIZA.

A white lace top with black leggings. The shoes are from COCO - gorgeous, but why oh why oh why oh why do we have to tint each foot color separately? Most of us dont have different skin on the left and right legs.

A white lace top with black leggings. The shoes are from COCO - Hawt!!! Gorgeous!!! But why oh why oh why oh why do we have to tint each foot color separately? Most of us don't have different skin on the left and right legs. Let's hope they make a quick fix and update that soon. The tinting hud is unwieldy and slow and to do it twice is just not nice.

Stunning coral suit with Coco & Co. matching shoes.

Summer Nights

When you want to dress up for those hot summer night, sometimes the freshness of icy colors like silver and ice blue can make you feel just a tiny bit cooler. Sure, it’s all in your head, but so is everything else in life.  This Pixel Dolls Limelight corset in silver looks almost like I am wearing ice and that could give you just a little shiver of cool feeling.  The ice blue skirt is from LeeZu and is icier than you think. The Skyline necklace and earrings have an icy look, too. These are from a store I discovered on a hunt – ci:di
