Too Much Fun

Sometimes I put together an outfit that just appeals to my sense of fun and whimsy more than most and I end up wearing it for days, putting it back on after shooting another outfit, just because I love it so. That’s what happened with this outfit, perhaps because of the gloves more than anything…but I did fall for the look and had to treat it to a little more fun with the photo shoot, so I used the Mannequins from Lost Angel – just because they are too adorable for words.

Covering the basics, let’s start where I began styling the outfit – the Salopette skirt from Untone Quilt. It’s lucky it has suspenders because SL was being a total pain and not rezzing any of my tops. I decided finally to go topless for a bit while I chose shoes. I quickly chose Maitreya’s Soho boot, though in a different color, resolving to pop over to see if there was a color that would work better once I could get a shirt on. That led me to thinking maybe a scarf so I trawled my accessories folder and noticed the Nif Nif gloves from LeeZu. Once I put them on, I tossed out the print shirt idea and resolved on the Icing Puma Jie shirt, if it would ever rez. Meanwhile I tossed on one of Zaara’s coverall scarves and headed to Maitreya where I found the  Soho Luxe Grunge which were the exact color I wanted. When I got back to the blog headquarters (sounds so much more upscale than my patch of ocean floor, doesn’t it?) I took of the scarf and magically while TP’ing into the busy, busy Maitreya store and back, my shirt finally rezzed.  I was really happy with the look and just needed to find skin and hair as playful as the outfit.

I wanted bold and fun, so I went to Curio’s folder and chose the lovely Allium makeup from the June release. The hair was a favorite of mine from Hair Fair – a blunt cut bob from Fashionably Dead. I added the Aqua set from si*na museum – a find at Albero’s Accessories Fair last month and voila. Normally outfits come together a little more easily than this — but when SL quits rezzing I want to rip my hair out. Lucky for me, it’s detachable so I can.

This was a fun read. I really enjoy seeing how other bloggers end up with the outfits that they do. Those gloves rock, perfect. I did the glove hunt today as well, and if I had found them in my inventory, I’d be wearin em too.

Great pics, first one is a blast of fun, saw those mannekins somewhere recently.

Love the close ups as well, ty. Skin closeups are so important. That skin is gorgeous on you btw.

Hair is cute, does it have a nice flexi swish to it? Would love to see it in world.
