Two Men and a Pixel Truck

posted by Gidge Uriza

I WISH I’d had two men in any sort of truck this past two weeks as I underwent the nightmare of moving my entire life from point A to point B. But, let’s talk about the clothes and put all that ugliness, heavy lifting, and dirt behind us.

Ever go shopping with a friend whose clothes you NEVER really like?  Or maybe it’s their hair, or shoes. And they want you to embrace shop B or shop C because OMG they LOVE this place.  And are you like me? Do you FIND something to buy anyway because you know that they’ll be all depressed if you don’t buy something there? Continue reading

RRRRRABBIT!

posted by Gidge Uriza

It seems wildly unfair to me that Cajsa came exploring this forest with a frenchman to lead the way and I just had to follow her around. But, despite the lack of handsome strangers, I was delighted for her to show me around this wonderful, almost childlike forest. We shot the Fairy photos from the previous post there and she HAD to drag me down the Rabbit-hole for a tea party extraordinaire. Continue reading

Sometimes I'm A Fairy

posted by Gidge Uriza
When MDR had their Midsummer Night’s Dream party, Silo and I couldn’t make it because we were in the middle of the move from hell. Which was really disappointing because we had really been looking forward to it.
And – I already had my costume!
I had flitted from Fairy’s Grove, to Coconut Ice, to a few other places I like but whose name’s escape me to try to find something new. Which is insane because I already OWN several expensive Fairy outfits (I own way more than someone who doesn’t RP probably should). But, stamps feet, I wanted something NEW. The theme was Midsummer Night after all……..I wanted something that said LIFE.
This Leaf Fairy Costume from Fairy’s Grove ended up fitting the bill perfectly.

So since we missed the big shindig – Silo and I did the next best thing, we had a house party with a BELATED Midsummer Night theme and invited all our personal friends. It was a fairy forest after a while, I tell you – with all the beautiful wings flitting about.

I had picked up this Reica hair from Diversity, she had the fun colors pack on sale when she released the hair so the EIRE went perfectly with this green nature fairy look. Continue reading

I'm Bringing Sexy Back

posted by Gidge Uriza

I’m not the sort of girl who attaches her Xcite and tells, but I can tell you that I spend a lot of time deciding what new delicious thing to wear for intimate moments.  What is the point, the boys will ask? The point is, to me….that I’m saying something about who I am, and bringing sexy with me.

I love classic sexy styling. You don’t have to be in a shorty prim skirt with half your boobs hanging out to show a SLuver or anyone else that your mind is on a private evening. Continue reading

Message In A Sn@tch Bag

Posted by Gidge Uriza

You know what? I never shop at Sn@tch. Which is really lame of me. I like their stuff. I picked up those fantastic pirate skull shoes they put out for free, and not just because they were free but also because the bows were color change and I thought that they were a hoot.  I would totally have paid for them.

There are always so many people THERE, and the models are chatty and they freak me out.

And then, I’m fairly sure everyone there hates me also.

Stuff So Nice I Bought It Thrice

posted by Gidge Uriza

In my newbie-hood days, I was addicted to shopping but also had more than a bit of shopping ADD. I couldn’t always remember WHAT I had purchased.  A lot of this I attribute to my former crew who advised me to fill up my inventory with worthless garbage – so that the few GOOD pieces I had, I couldn’t remember their names – or where I got them, etc.

Consequently, I bought some of the same things more than once.

This hair from Cake, and this dress from the former X3D now Digit Darkes is a great example. Continue reading

Detroit Rha!-ck City

First I Drink…….

Then I Smoke……

Yeah, I’m in a KISS mood. That quote was for all you 40 year old guys pretending to be 25 year old guys.  Or pretending to be girls. Your Mom doesn’t like what you’ve done to her basement.

But I digress.

I recently got the opportunity to meet and visit with Rhaorth from RHA! designs while we were shopping at Zaara.  She was talking to someone else when I got there, about fashion bloggers etc…….and you know me. Continue reading

The Medieval Fairy Forest French Lieutenant's Woman

posted by Gidge Uriza

I received a wonderful array of Role Play style medieval garments from Elegance a while back and with my RL move and all, it took me a while to get a chance to show them to you.  The Persimmon set features an array of options, pants, cape, scrolls (scripted and unscripted), hood, boots, shoes etc….to fit your needs.  If you like to role play, or dress up in beautifully detailed medieval clothes just for grins – this is a great set. Well worth the investment, because of the myriad of options you get for outfits. Continue reading

It Was A Dark And Stormy Night…..

posted by Gidge Uriza
But then, it’s always a dark and stormy night in the shopping alley, now isn’t it?
Cajsa and I rested our high heel loving feet for a few in the cafe, enjoying the ambiance, and generally sitting around looking pretty.
My prettiness was courtesy of a big old box of goodies from Layniewear I received several days ago. Sleek, hip summer fashions and a fun hairstyle too.
One of my FAVORITE features of the release of this button down shirt from Layniewear is the collar option feature. Attach it to your spine or CHEST – which allows you to choose whether to wear a necklace – LOVE this! More designers should consider this – I spend forever on the dressing stand attaching things to some alternate spot so I can wear jewelry. Not so with this GREAT shirt! Continue reading

Where'd You Get That? Don't Ask…….

posted by Gidge Uriza

I received a big old box o’ hair from House of Heart the other day, and while strapped to my dressing stand trying it on, Miffy popped over to see what I was up to and to tell me she had some new releases.  When I got to Jordan (shown) she said “Here, model this with that one” and passed me the newest release at Don’t Ask..the fur trimmed pantsuit and shoes.

The coffee bean color hair was an easy choice to go with this outfit. This is one of my favorite designs of Miffy’s, it reminds me a mafia wife who bought couture. It’s fun and no pixel animals were harmed in the making of this fur. Continue reading
