About Cajsa Lilliehook

Santino Rice's little ditty "It's only fashion" seems a perfect title for my little fashion blog as you and i know that fashion means the world to him. Co-founder of It's Only Fashion and Blogging Second Life.

She's a Rocker

Poor Allison on American Idol. Why did she get trashed for her outfit? It actually had the potential for fabulous and only a few changes would have made it great, but still, it’s a singing competition, not America’s Top Model.  Actually, there were worse outfits on the stage that night and at least Allison’s dress fit her. I thought I might show how that outfit could look great – and used the lovely Saturday dress from Baiastice to show you.

My Hair Is On Fire

Well, not really, but it sure looks like it. And it certainly could be given Gidge going all drama on us! However, I will still try to keep the drama free pledge and focus on this adorable little mashup. The blouse comes from one of those excesses of goodness you get at Bare Rose – the Angela jacket. You know June would never just give you a fat pack of jackets without something extra like this fabulouse white blouse that goes under the jacket.  The skirt is made by maruko05 Aya whose store Shirohato is in Japan Village – a wonderful place for finding surprises. The skirt comes with a perfectly lovely white blouse, I just wanted to wear one that went all out with the outrageous prim collar like this gorgeous one from Bare Rose.

It was a dark and stormy night

As the April 15th deadline nears for this year’s Bulwer-Lytton contest, I thought I might encourage you to check out the web site. It’s an annual award for bad writing and by bad writing, I mean really bad writing.  I was reading the 2008 results and laughing and thought you all might enjoy a good laugh, too, so I decided to shoot this great jacket and pants from Ibizarre in a “dark and stormy night” setting.  Ibizarre had a 10L sale on everything on the second floor and not one to resist a great sale, I found myself on a mad, but inexpensive, shopping spree. The black and white print jacket is beautifully made and the striking Fitzgerald belt from Lelutka really sets it off.

Boom!let

I received a promotional copy of this adorable micro-mini from BOOM! this weekend and I loved the little buttons and the adorable belt so much that I had to blog it even though there’s no way I would wear a skirt that short in this life or real life. From the front, you don’t get to appreciate how dangerously short it is – but hey, that’s what tights are for!!

If only it were warmer

Kunglers has created the perfect hot weather dress, one that has fabulous vents along your back to keep you cool and breezy.  Yes, that inset in the back is open  an open mesh providing not only the visual interest of different sized dots, but some nice cool breezes on your spine on hot sultry days. It’s been awwhile since I showed you something from Kunglers – perhaps, as I discovered this weekend, because I misfiled everything they sent me last time in my folder of Velentine hunt items that I have nott opened yet.  Anyway, the sisters dropped the lovely Adelle blouse and skirt combo on me this weekend and like so many Kunglers outfits, it is replete with extras such as the bangle and pearl necklace I  am wearing.

Blackberries: One of Ana's Advertisers

I don’t want to get all dramalicious on you, but I really despise rude cowards who make anonymous personal attacks such as the one posted (and removed) on SL Secrets today. Instead of ranting, though, I thought I might show my support for Analu and her blog and her decision to accept advertising to help offsest the cost by following a SLURL to one of her advertisers and buying something. And look at the gorgeous, frothy and feminine gown I ended up with. So much better than a rant!!!

So…I was think that if you appreciate Analu’s blog and value the fashion news and updates as well as the frequent tips and tricks she shares about windlight, prim editing and the like, you might want to give her advertising a click, too, and even drop the advertisers a line and say you saw them on her blog. If you’re a blogger, perhaps you might want to blog something you find at one of their stores.

This Side of the Blue

StoRin's beautiful blue Twiggy sheath dress is deceptively simple at first glance - but the rich brocade fabric gives it depth and interest far beyond first impressions - a sign of real genius. For those of you unfamiliar with StoRin, the store used to be called Annah Couture.

Svetlana sucks lemons across from me,
and I am progressing abominably.
And I do not know my own way to the sea
but the saltiest sea knows its own way to me.

The city that turns, turns protracted and slow
and I find myself toeing th’embarcadero
and I find myself knowing the things that I knew
which is all that you can know on this side of the blue

Biker Chic

It’s a good thing you don’t have to prove your biker credentials before getting a biker jacket as I would never qualify. That doesn’t keep me from enjoying the hint of rebellion and danger evoked by the always-flattering jacket. And when the jacket is as beautifully made as this one from Mashooka, well it’s nearly irresistible.

Wake Up!

There’s nothing like a bright sunny dress to wake you up and lift your mood when your spirits are dragging. Every once in awhile the 222 cloudy days we get each year gets oppressive and I need some sunshine. Sure, I use the full spectrum lightbulbs but I mean I need some bright sunny pop of warmth. That’s when I turn to fashion. This dress from LiNe is a sunny day on a hangar and ready for you to take out of your closet anytime you need some sun.

My life was wrapped around the circus.
Her name was Lydia.
I met her at the world’s fair in 1900,
marked down from 1940.

Ah, Lydia.
She was the most glorious creature
Under the su-un.
Guiess. DuBarry. Garbo.
Rolled into one.

Oooooooh
Lydia oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia,
Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.
She has eyes that folks adore so,
And a torso even more so.
