Dress You Up In My Love

posted by Gidge Uriza

People shop at different places for different reasons.  I shop at Digit Darkes religiously because it was the first nice store I ever went to. I remember being in awe at how pretty the clothes were, and how amazing the shoes were. Such a step up from the freebie box crap I was wearing. Continue reading

Backpacking Alone In Mexico

posted by Gidge Uriza

With my busy shooting schedule plus a store to run plus a hunt to get ready for (duh it’s started!) and a slew of friends I love to spend time with……I rarely have those moments alone anymore.

I don’t know if you ever have had them in SL, but those perfect moments of quiet……where you’re just exploring something, wandering…….experiencing that quiet solitude that you can find in such a huge world on a quiet night. Continue reading

Efe Is Groovy Baby

I used to think that I didn’t wear dark skin tone skins -let’s say it BLACK skin tones, because I couldn’t identify with them. Chalk that up to being white and American. But then, I realized I also didn’t identify with being blue or pink or any other color which I am known to wear……..so why the hang up? Continue reading

The Store I Lost

posted by Gidge Uriza

Once Upon a Time, Cajsa TP’d me into a store. It was fully of elegant, delicious ballgown-goodness. There were some fastastic dollarbies (piles of gowns from older releases for about 5L) and a neat viewer that rotated THROUGH was was in the freebie boxes so you could SEE them. I thought this was  a great touch – how often do you get home with a hideous freebie? This way, you only pick up the one you want.

And I BOUGHT one, this EXCELLENT GREEN GOWN! I had an event to wear it to. Continue reading

Quick Look:Naive

posted by Gidge Uriza

This is where I wish I was, snuggled up in super soft jammies. However – I may still be in my jammies but I’ m minutes fromwork clothes.

I love a store that dabbles in various fashion elements and Naive runs a gamut from Wedding Formal to these cute jammies. I’m wearing DRAMA QUEEN and COUNTING SHEEP.  Why is it I love SL Jammies so much? I have no idea yet I love to dress up in them.

I chose Aleri Darkes Virgo – Snuggle makeup – I mean, it’s CALLED Snuggle. How could I resist?

The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys

Okay the post is about the dress – but in this shot, all I could think of was those rocking boots. **Ahem, steps onto soapbox**….It is better that you have ONE of something GOOD vs. 20 of something crappy.***Steps down off of soap box***.

There I said it.

It goes for the dress too.

I love the various forms fashion takes……this latex sheath (I dunno what else to call it) can be futuristic, retro or otherwordly. It really put me in mind of Priss from Blade Runner – which is probably why I brought out Digit’s Feathered Skin from her new UnDress line. Continue reading

Her Name Was Lola

Our friend Maht had a gallery showing of his photography a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to pick up something new to wear but wasn’t made of lindens that day.

It’s days like that, when I say “Thank God for Bare Rose”. The prices area always excellent and you get a nice assortment of colors of most styles that you purchase. This dress came in three colors (I think, truthfully it could’ve been four) and was so boobariffic I had to rock my LOLA shape with it. Continue reading
