Now if we moved this shelf over there and that shelf over here...

Looking at the last few posts, you might think my weekend was long on glamour and formal occasions which is far from the truth considering the one big event I planned to attend, I missed by dilly-dallying. Speaking of dilly-dallying – here’s one of the places I dallied a lot this weekend, The Hollow Forest. More specifically, the children’s room in the house there.  As soon as I saw it I thought of the old song.

Oh playmate, come out and play with me

Oranges Are Good For You

I love the fruit and the color orange. Sadly, I became allergic to oranges a few years ago and can only enjoy the fruit in SL now, but the color is still a pleasure in both worlds. With oranges this brililant and rich – all I can say is orange you happy I took pictures?

Last night I had a lovely conversation with Abraxxa Anatine, the creative force at EarthStones, who was looking for a skirt featured in a post a while back.  She generously gave me some of her most recent releases including the luscious Fire/Silver version of her Crystal Elements necklaces she released yesterday. It comes with two pieces – a shorter necklace that attaches to the spine – where my top’s collar attaches. Lovely, though, to have two options. As chance would have it, I had just bought this lustrously glossy orange shirt from Good Look Designs. Together, they look good enough to eat – so long as you haven’t any allergies.

Another designer that is generous with the freebies especially around the holidays is SYD – Style Your Destiny.  For just a linden you can pick up this sweet little July 4 dress in their store in world or on ONREZ. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to break out my color change bracelets from Fresh Baked Goods.  I love these – any bracelet that I can make work with any outfit is definitely a best buy. Me and My Favorite Harbour Chick!

When I first conceived of doing this whole week in Red White and Blue, this was the outfit that inspired my silly notion. Every once in a while I sweep Onrez for freebie and dollarbie newness and this kyooot little number popped up a couple of weeks ago or more. From Awesome Designs you can still pick it up here for $L1.  You can probably also pick it up at the Awesome Designs maintsore In World however I haven’t popped over there to check. 🙂

Patriotica – Part Two – R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A

I love these pants. I found them on ONREZ when searching for July 4 goodies to share with you. There is so much fun available out there right now – I love the creativity everyone shows at the holidays.

Hatchy created some special flag face skins for the World Cup and I asked her to create us one for the 4th of July. It’s available now at my place, Don’t ask.

Miffy was horrified that I had been in SL over a year and only owned on proper set of boots. So when she gave me these – I knew I had to rock a fun outfit to go with. Something MAD MAX vs. spoiled Diva was what I was going for.

Digit Darkes had a L$1 sale on a hidden item, the Piper shirt and it was an incredible find.  Some designers do separates well, some do full outfits, but Digit does both and it’s so much fun to pick up a new piece and see what you can do with it. Continue reading →
