Baiastice is not the most expensive clothing store in Second Life® but it is costly enough that I do think about an outfit’s flexibility when I buy it. Can it be worn more than one way? If so, then I can mentally cut the cost in half, thirds or in this case, sixths. This one outfit, tossed about with other items in my inventory easily makes six different looks…and if I had more time, I probably could have done a few more. Don’t you just love cashmere? When the weather gets damp and dreary, I want to throw my cashmere sweaters in a pile on the bed and bury myself under them. However, for their sake, I will just wear one at a time. This one is from SN@TCH and comes with a color-changing cashmere scarf that gives you so many options you could play get lost in texture-switching. So, discipline yourself, pick one and go for it.
I picked up this gorgeous orange jacket at the 50% of sale at Baiastice a few weeks ago and seeing it, I cannot help but think of the Blaze Orange mandated for hunting wear. Not that I plan to go hunting, but thi s would be the most fashionable jacket in the woods.
I have no idea what Chupa Chup means, but it’s what Sissy Pessoa named this lovely dress (one I got at her half-price sale) and it sounds fun, so let’s run with it. It’s bright colors and wild stripe pattern so reminded me of candy that when I could not remember the name while saving to disk, what my mind came up with was chuchui. It was a tad chilly so I added a shrug from Little Rebel and went with some ankle boots from Novocaine.
Look how touchable and soft that little jacket is. It’s one of the appropriately named Sexy jackets from Baiastice made of rubbed leather, sueded to the point it seems more like velvet than leather. With it I am wearing a top from Pixel Dolls – Isolde, aptly named with its Arthurian chasing on the belting. Continue reading
Was it possible to go to the half-off sale @ Baiastice and not purchase at least one of the new outfits? Possibly, but too hard for me. However, I comfort myself by pointing out how essentially practical this delightful new dress is.
I am sincerely appreciative of the many freebies and group gifts showered on Second Life’s residents by the clothing designers and creators. Some however, do strive to create group gifts that are in a different class and in that group, Sissy Pessoa is the Gold Medalist. From Grandma’s Closet to Snake Outfits to this lovely new gift this month that includes a chair and two cigarettes in holders for all you smoking AV’s out there. Me, I quit smoking July 8th, so when i took a puff my eyes closed. The next snap would have been me sneezing. : )
brrrr….the rain can make you feel so cold. Especially if you’re silly and leave your jacket at home. Thank goodness I at least had an umbrella when I went to the shopping alley. Today I am wearing a lovely Haley hairstyle from Bishwear for Hair Fair and the dress I almost chose for the “mind’s true liberation” post when I was still trying to think of clothing.
