It's Raining….On Prom Night….

posted by Gidge Uriza

It’s the SCD Prom tonight and I’ve chosen to wear Allure from Sascha’s Designs if for no other reason than I can change skirts about 52 times throughout the night. Ok, not 52. But several.

Shall We Dance?

Shall We Dance?

Coming with a cocktail length/tea length prim skirt, a shortie skirt, a long prim skirt, a short system skirt and a BATTLESHIP skirt – how can I resist? Continue reading

O Admiral, My Admiral

My apologies to Walt Whitman.

Last Saturday, I saw Uma’s marvelous post with the My Admiral Jacket from Milk Motion. She is one of my favorite bloggers and someone whose originality and fashion wit brings real joy and elan to the feed.  I have never met her, but certainly get the impression that she is what we call “nice people” in my neck of woods as her blog is always positive and a delight. When I saw that jacket I knew I had to have it and seriously, it was a struggle to take it off. In fact, I wore it in two outfits back to back.

Turn Out The Light and Turn Out The Light

For Cajsa’s retirement from MDR Photo Studio I went to the jeweled tones of Clio. Her Sabina gown in rich purple, the color of lent, symbolicly showing that something was being in given up – for the good even if it was sad.

Perhaps it will only be a hiatus, only time will tell.

Clio is a natural at creating slick, chic designs that would cling in RL. The type of gowns you would just KNOW that girl had no panties on underneath – no way she could with that slinky silhouette. Continue reading

Dollyrock Sweet

posted by Gidge Uriza

You know who I don’t see enough of on the fashion blogs? Dollyrock. I don’t know why. Longetivy? Is it one of those places that we all know is there and assume everyone else knows is there so she doesn’t need any blog love?

I think it’s an uncanny nack she has for making either simple constructions lovely and unique, as well as producing very creative looks that are unique to her shop. I almost always run over weekly to pick something up because, as do many creators, she puts out new items discounted for the first 24 Hours – ROCK! Continue reading

Quick Look: Diapop & &bean

Here’s a cute  casual outfit perfect for chilling out with friends at The Velvet or running about shopping. The top is from &beans, comes on multiple layers and has an option to wear without the lacy ruffles on the neck. The pants are from Diapop. Now Diapop makes some adorable tops and if they would only make them on all layers and long enough to tuck in, my budget would be in serious trouble.  If you don’t mind crop tops and single layer tops (and many folks don’t) you should check out how cute they are. You can get an idea just from these adorable pants.  The flats are from Shiny Things – and I lurve them.

Butterflies Hanging Fire

Sometimes I shoot a great outfit or dress and then don’t post it right away, letting it get bumped by something more topical or timely. I try to shoot a few outfits at once and stock up a bit in case I  can’t get anything done some nights. This is one that’s been hanging fire for more than 10 days and really it deserves better than that. It’s the butterfly gown from Moxie Polano. I picked it up at Relay For Life, but didn’t shoot it right away, so it’s been waiting its turn very patiently.  Looking at the excellent cutwork and battenburg lace on the bodice as well as the button gloves, I really should not have let it wait. It’s just so lovely.

Memorial Day Weekend, I'll Be In The Hamptons

posted by Gidge Uriza

Ok that’s a lie. Memorial Day weekend I’ll be recovering from surgery. BUT – in my mind I’ll be relaxing with a mimosa on Buffy’s yacht while Chad sales out for a lobster bake on the beach.

Cuz,that’s how real people live -right? Continue reading

Do Not Stare DIRECTLY At This Cleavage

posted by Gidge Uriza

When Claire Harford released her SSV3 skins at Symphony Skins, she made sure to includ a busty vs. normal version with – as you can see – some bombass cleavage built in to the busty version.

It might blind you, look carefully – shading your eyes with a shadow box. Continue reading
