There’s been an absence in my Second Life® and in the lives of many others for the past two months. A dear friend, Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora, has been struggling with illness. She is now out of hospital and working hard to recover and find the strength to keep fighting for her health.
I remember when I was sick last year how she would IM me all the time to ask after my health and share her hope and concern for me. There were times when I felt really low and the love and friendship I found in Second Life lifted my spirit and gave me strength. I hope those of us whose Second Lives have been touched by her art, her imagination and her work as well as those who have come to know her kind and gentle spirit can do the same for her.
Let us send her messages of love, encouragement and support to lift her spirit and give her strength so that she comes back to us soon with renewed strength and good health.
And to that end, many of us have joined together in a project to highlight the fabulous Donna Flora (Marketplace) designs that have beautified our world from A to Z. Over the next week, there will be many more posts added to this abecedarian list highlighting her amazing work. The original plan was to post them all on one day, but so many people wanted to participate, it became clear that it made more sense to spread them out over a week and I am sure more will want to join. This post will stay sticky for the next week so you can find it easily until the project is completed.
Dime con quién andas, y te diré quién eres.
Tell me the company you keep and I will tell you who you are.
I don’t often shop the sales events and discount rooms because often the items are no longer available by the time I get around to blogging them, but I had to go to The Dressing Room this time around and support the creators and The Dressing Room organizer Linka Demina in their decision to keep good company.

There is a rule as a blogger that you have to shoot at Chouchou at least once before you die. Now that’s I’ve accomplished this, I resign from blogging. Okay kidding I don’t. But it was fun to go over there and swoop around looking at all the awesome space and vignettes. Continue reading
It was pure coincidence that I was wearing this fabulous leather dress with feathers when I teleported over to check out The Magic Flute, but when I saw the first part of the exhibit, I thought it was too perfect for words. It made me smile, remembering a good college friend who played Papageno in a college production of the opera. I decided to take a few snaps, play the musical and remember old friends.
Papageno is the birdcatcher and the initial room in The Magic Flute has this fabulous birdcage. There’s so much more, though, you really should visit yourself.

Hello, everyone 🙂
I was really happy to see Rhapzody Wilde back in action, after months of silence. I’ve got this notecard from Mynerva group and thought ( well…I might have said it LOUD ) “Hang on…Mynerva?!?! Woohoo!”. So yeah, she’s back with great group gifts, a delicious taste of her new skin line that will be released soon and, obviously, I can’t wait!!!
Here’s Milena, one of Mynerva group gifts which will be available for a limited time: it comes in porcelain and latte (with freckles) tones and with dark and light makeup.
I love it *_*
While hanging around the store and enjoying the skin, I received a notecard from [Sheep Door] announcing that, in order to celebrate their anniversary, they put out one colour of their new release – a super cute school uniform in both female and male versions – on the lucky boards, so I had to teleport over and have a look. The shop was, and still is, very crowded, everyone was there to stalk the lucky boards, so I decided to stay a few minutes and wait for my letter to show up and, in case I got tired of waiting, I would have bought the outfit. Yes, in one way or another, I would have got that school uniform because it’s one of the cutest uniforms I’ve ever seen.
At some point the O showed up and I got the prize. Yay! 😀
I also got the male prize 😛

I didn’t know the store Jack Spoon until I saw this dress for Back to Black – the mental health awareness event that is currently hosted by Chic Management. The print is a wild Versace-esque print with a lace inset on the bodice. With the long sleeves and the high collar, there are references to modesty which take on a cheeky wit when balanced with that cutout bodice and short skirt.
ChouChou has returned for a short time and I popped over to check it out. I opted to adopt their region windlight settings to see it as they wanted it to be seen. It sure is dramatic, though you cannot see my outfit. I wandered around and then noticed that their other sims were open, too, so I popped over to Babel.
Babel is also very dramatic with a seemingly never-ending stairway with lots of boxes – each with a short measure of music that affects the play of music as you climb the stairs. This is a sim that you simply must have your sound turned up so you can experience it at its best. I was wearing a sweater from Diapop for Back 2 Black – the awareness campaign for mental health issues. This sweater focuses on comfort and it really is a comfy sweater, isn’t it?
