Never mix plaids. If you wear plaid, wear on only one article of clothing. These are rules that are meant to be broken. Carefully! You can mix plaids, just make sure they are similar in hue and that the patterns are a different size.

A month or so ago, one of the designers at Prelude dropped an outfit on me to review. It was lovely but similar in style to something I had recently blogged. Still I liked it a lot and decided to check the store out. There I found so many tempting outfits there, but this one has such a whimsical feeling I could not resist.
It’s Election Night and I am eager to hear the results, expecting sweet victory. So I am wear the color of victory – gold – in a in-between dress with a dressy looking fabric and a casual cut – perfect for most election night parties from casual to cocktail.
Sunday afternoon Maht did one of his best sets ever at the Velvet – a homage to the great songwriters and I was ready to dance because I was eager to try out the new dances from Akeyo in a group. I prefer dances that don’t make the men dancing with me on my HUD look silly, and these Akeyo dances really fit the bill. Animazoo has some great ones, too, by the way. No disrespect to Sine Wave, which also produces some good club dances. It’s just that I cringe when I see a guy doing OMG. What can I say? Anyway, eager to dance, I decided a nice miniskirt and tights would suit and sure enough they did.
I thought about calling this Cardinal Sins, but there’s nothing sinful about this delightful gown from Paper Couture. This is a dress for conquering the world.
I do love a sheath dress. Simple, elegant and oh-so-lovely. This blue dress from Skin Flicks is particularly beautiful with the lovely sleeve details and the assymetrical bodice.
Leaving the aviary for a bit, Paper Couture’s Falling Leaves dress gets its inspiration from the colors of autumn and the brilliant colors of the dying leaves. This is a lovely day dress and beautifully constructed yet again.
The Lu sisters of Paper Couture are not shy about color. They use it with bold broad strokes and with supreme confidence. That’s why they can produce such luscious dresses as Parakeet, a bold yellow dress that rivals the brightest birds in the jungle.
So, yesterday I put on this old Paper Couture dress and sighed and asked Whither Paper Couture? When they only do a spring and fall collection, I get impatient for the next collection to arrive and honestly, seasonly speaking, Fall is tiptoing toward Winter and they announced it was coming back in September. Wah!!!
No sooner have a I finished the hurry-up photos when like magic, there on the feed I see a new Paper Couture outfit – an outfit for men – but still I had to rush back in-world and see what new fripperies and whimsies they have dreamed up and they did not disappoint me.Taking their inspiration from birdlife, they have produced an aviary of dreams.
