Last night Gidge’s husband Silo threw a Rez Day bash to celebrate his second year in Second Life. The theme was Guilty Pleasures – those songs you love but are too embarassed to admit it. Well-named I have to say. Requests were sent in ahead and were played anonymously – and very few owned up to their requests. Still, it was the most interesting playlist I have every DJ’ed and we had a lot of fun. I wore this lovely dress – as spring-like and feminine as they come.

Animal prints are ever more popular – in both lives – and this lovely cocktail dress from PinUp Dolls is an expert and elegant use of leopard print in a dress. Just enough to add pop and zest, but not enough to add even a scintilla of skankiness.
It’s much better to go all out on the leopard with the lingerie, like this from Reasonable Desires, where you really want to show your wild side.

Since I was just recently at the beach, it made me realize I needed to take stock of my swimsuit situation. Fumbling through my inventory I found this gem from Cherry Girl which I had completely forgotten I had.
I went over there to get something that was in the lucky boards that I saw on Freestyle and in the time I was there won everything else they had on the boards EXCEPT what I wanted, as I recall. Continue reading
I have found 13 out of 15 of the items at the EarthStones easter egg hunt, but have been defeated by two. I already IM’ed Abraxxa and shook my fist and hollered “damn you for hiding them so well.” Of course, she knew I was kidding and laughed. She assured me that one of the two I have not found was in plain sight, but you know, that’s always the way it is. I probably stood on it.
Now this hunt is a little different as not all items are free, some cost 10 or 50L, but that’s still a huge bargain. Among my finds were the lovely casuals sandals I am wearing. Of course, hunts get you looking around and finding things you cannot resist and one of those was in one of the rental shops outside her store – where I found this skirt that I matched up with the bodice from one of Kunglers Couture gowns. There’s a half dozen different colors and I was tempted to get all of them. The skirts are beautifully made and have a marvelous lacy cutwork texture.

Lemania has this one available all week for free to her group. So if you have a ballgown monkey on your back, I think you should know by now that you can FEED that monkey by joining Lemania’s group and basking in the goodness she’s giving away both weekly and daily.
Run don’t walk. This one is only available until the end of the week. It’d be lovely for a special date this weekend, wouldn’t it?
This gorgeous mohair skirt comes in green, grey and blue.
I love this mohair skirt from The Closet. In fact, I have it in three colors and if she made more colors, I would probably have it in those colors as well. And putting it together with some warm cozy tights and well, you have my favorite sort of run-around outfit. And it must be, I think I ran around in it for three days. But there was a problem – and not to single out The Closet – it is widespread problem that affects clothes from many stores and designers. It’s one that would be very simple to fix, though. The thing is – no mod prim clothing is just plain bad business practice.

I wore this shopping with Cajsa a week or so ago, and was truly the overdressed fashionista everywhere we went. But I knew it was my last chance to get it worn before the warm weather took over and I didn’t want to wear so much fur anymore.
Who knew? Who knew that there were Kimono’s with Tartans and urban-chic appeal? I had no clue. Until I spied this on the wall at Sweetaholic.
I love the mess of belts supplementing the normal waist – it really lends a modern edge to the dress.
