Cats and bats go together and not just phonetically. We didn’t need Michelle Pfeiffer’s portrayal of Catwoman to know that the relationship between Batman and the arch-villainess was complicated by unwilling and unwanted attraction. So, when I decided to bring out my Catwoman costume again, I also pulled out EarthStones brilliant Desmodus jewelry set – because wouldn’t Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman have worn it if she had the chance?
I am wary of holiday outfits – so may are one-day-wonders that will never be worn again. You cannot say that about this special Halloween Edition of the Foxy lingerie set from Blacklace. Blacklace does extraordinary lingerie and does it well, so when Mariska Simons turned her hand to making a holiday set, she did it with a deft, imaginative touch that evokes Halloween implicity, not explicitly – making a lingerie set that can conceivably be worn throughout the year.
Look how touchable and soft that little jacket is. It’s one of the appropriately named Sexy jackets from Baiastice made of rubbed leather, sueded to the point it seems more like velvet than leather. Was it possible to go to the half-off sale @ Baiastice and not purchase at least one of the new outfits? Possibly, but too hard for me. However, I comfort myself by pointing out how essentially practical this delightful new dress is.

The best treasure I found at Sari’s treasure hunt was a little top I bought for a mere 45L. You can see it in the photo. It’s called Diving Peacock – and you should know I find peacock deisgns irresistable. But what to wear with it? Actually, yesterday i saw this adorable ruched high waisted skirt in teal at Little Rebel, but my dilemma was a few days ago. All my system skirts left about an inch of bare belly which is just too informal for the look I wanted.
Monarch butterflies are beautiful and amazing. It astonishes me that those small, tissue-paper thin leaves can carry them across the ocean, but they can and they manage to migrate 3000 miles fluttering those tiny wings. Of course, if you have ever chased a butterfly, you know those wings can really move.
Ode is a place for chasing butterflies, catch one and you might get a piece of jewelry by Random Calliope. I have been chasing butterflies, but i went there today to chase photos – specifically, I wanted to wear this stunning Azazello dress from Vindi Vindaloo – an homage to the monarch butterfly. I’d had a full day of shopping and hard work looking for fashion goodies(I had been searching for shoes, I need fall shoes darnit), when Cajsa drug me off to wash her car! Geeez!
Ok, kidding – but she thought I looked like a tough girl in this outfit and thought the Car Wash was the perfect place to shoot it. I got this super fun tough girly outfit from Indi and I picked it up on a hunt that Freestyle covered. I only own three things by Indi, all of which I got on the hunt and I feel a little guilty about that, because I just love all three items.
The delish thing about this outfit, is that it came with oodles of layers – including this hot lingerie layer……

AM Radio made some major changes at Tusk. It’s now underwater, but still beautiful and evocative. Here I am inside the little building on the pier looking out at the water and enjoying the warm sun streaming in the window. It looks like it will be a lovely day. I hope so because I forgot to bring a jacket.
