Hello 🙂
I wish you all a serene but crazy 2012, i hope it will put lots of smiles on your face. My SL 2011 has been much better than my RL one, maybe it’s normal, maybe it’s not, i don’t want to complain but there is at least one thing i wish never happened during this year that is going to end in a few hours.
Anyway, smile! Yes, as i said, may the new year bring you lots of smiles  🙂 And no, not fake smiles! 😛

Week 33 – Mahogany

Aikea Rieko from Plastik has recently released the Aeda Slacks because, as she wrote in the notecard she sent to the group “I realized that i make tons of dresses and shirts and don’t have many pants!”.
And she did good, the new collection is fantastic, it consists of jeans, pants,capris, minis, shorts, each one available in 1 million colors. My fav are the skinnies which you can see in the picture: the style, the cut and the texture left me speechless! I really think they are the best skinnies i’ve seen so far. Great job, Aikea!
The Ara shirt from Miamai is another fantastic new release. It’s a sculpted top/shirt made of layered fabrics, sparkling sequin and print silk. It comes in 6 different color variations, the one i’m wearing in the picture is the “Summernight” color. Thank you, Monica! *mwah*

While visiting LaPerla – old Italy, a beautiful sim that is a tribute to the real-world Tropea in southern Italy, I decided to take a few shots to show you both the place and the lovely items I was wearing.

Do you recognize the necklace? One of the best MIEL creations ever, in my humble opinion. Even the kitty cat posing in the pic with me loved it 😀

I purchased it two weeks ago, as it was out for the Fifty Linden Friday, I guess it’s available in store now. It can be personalized using a fantastic hud that allows you to compose your name or whatever you want. Also, it’s scripted to change textures in 4 unique color sets and resize.

There’s also a matching bracelet, that I’m not wearing in the pic, with the same features.

Luxuriating in Lingerie

The highly anticipated opening of Luxuria happened yesterday – with Roslin Petion’s release of her new lingerie collection. Roslin has been producing lingerie for her 5th & Oxford brand for a long-time and has a devoted following of people who admire her craftsmanship and skill in creating gorgeous hand-drawn clothing. The new Luxuria brand will focus on high-fashion, modern lingerie yet maintain the attention to quality and detail that often makes a person seek out vintage clothing. In the photo above, Gidge and I are wearing a sampling of all her releases, but I really have to focus on one in particular. Why? Vanity, of course!

Of course I am going to focus on the Cajsa lingerie set and show you all the lovely jewel tones she made it in – because having clothes named for me makes my heart dance a little jig and sets me singing. When I was in Middle and High School, it was compulsory for girls whose fathers belonged to the Masonic organizations to have to work at the county fair for two weeks in the summer, serving the food the Shriners cooked up in the hot summer heat. We’d wait on tables in our white t-shirts,jeans and pony-tails, grinning with pearly white teeth and talking to boys about going to see the various animals they were going to show,sneak kisses behind the soda machines or talk about who won the pie cook off with the old ladies who had come in for a cold drink.

And when we got our breaks……we’d go out and flirt with carnies for free rides. To show that the carnies either weren’t that bright or weren’t actually trying to shag us, they’d let us have free rides in return for “coming back to see them later”. Continue reading →
