Cajsa and I were almost homeless this week. There was a snafu, an oooops, one of those timing issues where something goes wrong and now you don’t have a place to live. Sometimes those are easily corrected. We got lucky – the land was ours again, we are once again neighbors on our tiny islets of joy.
But it put me into reflection about where I am in this place between second and first life. There is no doubt that my Second Life doesn’t hold the sway over me it once did. I’d no longer call it an addiction. I miss the people I loved here, and wonder what’s become of the ones I fear are dead. I regret the missteps that lost me friends, and the missteps that made me believe the wrong people were friends and loved ones.
Being homeless, even for a day though, called me to question “Should I still be here?” Continue reading →
The best part about living across the water from Cajsa is that from time to time I can come over and stalk around her house. She has impeccable taste, and I have to admit I love to see how she’s decorated when a new house goes up. Continue reading →
So what happens when you mix up a demon and a lolita styled goth dress?
I wouldn’t call myself a traditionally cute avatar. I am forever in the realm of odd and sometimes scary. When not designing, or blogging, I am most often a demon of some sort. But can a demon be cute? Of course! It is all in the eyes of puppeteer, how we perceive our digital flesh.
I fell in love with this dress from Adoness. It isn’t something I would normally wear, not for lack of liking the style, but I have entrenched my self so far into a set fashion style, that I feel sometimes it limits what I can make work. Looking on my flickr, you really wouldn’t think this, as I am all over the place, when blogging.
Even if you’re not into monster fashion, you have to admit, my avie looks pretty damn hot.
I took a trip to DRBC because they usually have really great alternative fashions to choose from and really great textures and this find is no different. The hair is anew release from Truth and who can resist betty bangs and skull clips, I CAN’T that’s for sure.
I knew I owned enough of the amazing creations from Ingenue to find something appropriate for the themed Valentine Ball that Shopping Cart Disco held Monday Night. The only question was WHAT to wear once I was IN my Ingenue Closet?
That was when I decided, I didn’t need Valentine pink or red, icy blue might be a lovely change up. Continue reading →
Achariya has challenged us all to dig into our closets and pull out designs that are no longer available to appreciate them and take that stroll down memory lane of who we used to be.
It was tough for me, because I have three former great loves who are not longer with us. All three just POOFED and were gone one day.
I had a hard time not just wearing all Digit Darkes, but let’s face it, I blogged most if not all of her catalog here over the years so I thought I’d mash it up a bit.
I’m wearing a cropped green sweater and tribal bead jeans from Chic Boutique which was a store I always refused to tell my friends where it was.
I didn’t want them to have cute things like me. HA. Continue reading →
So we all had to sign the new TOS the other day. There was a lot of grousing on Plurk but really, I didn’t give a flip. I am one of those people who doesn’t read it. I just don’t care. Whatever, I’m not supposed to have sex with the teens right? Something like that? This post is not about the TOS. This post is about how suddenly the grid went wonky on me.
I tried logging into the TPV Phoenix – and the new TOS wouldn’t come up. Now – that didn’t actually matter to me because I wasn’t gonna read it, however, I couldn’t click the YES I AGREE to whatever nutfuckery you’ve put into writing.
Growling, I closed Phoenix and opened the EVIL regular viewer. Continue reading →
The new Black Russian jacket from BAIASTICE is just the thing to be JUST warm enough yet fashionable this winter.
I’m loving it’s fluffy goodness and am wondering which animal Sissy Pessoa killed to make it. Continue reading →
